RESOLUTION RENEWING PREVIOUS RESOLUTIONS URGING
ACCESS ROUTES FROM INTERSTATE 5 TO AND FROM THE
SOUTH TO PROPUSED CORONADO BAY BRIDGE
WHEREAS, the State of California, Division of Bay
Toll Crossings, plans to construct a Coronado Bay Bridge, and
WHEREAS, the plans for proposed bridge do not in-
clude access routes from Interstate 5 to and from the South,
and
WHEREAS, the cities affected by the construction
of the Coronado Bay Bridge have uniformly expressed the desire
of their citizens for access routes from Interstate 5 to and
from the South,and
WHEREAS, the State of California has not included
the requested access ramps to this date, and
WHEREAS, adequate access to the proposed bridge is
a matter of vital concern to the residents of the South Bay;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of National City does urgently renew its previous
resolutions that access routes from Interstate 5 to and from
the South be included in the first phase of construction of
the Coronado Bay Bridge.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of November, 1966.
