RESOLUTION OF INTENTION
(Coolidge Avenue from 13th to 7 Streets,
17th Street from Hoover to Railroad Track)
The City Council of the City of National City,
California, does hereby resolve, determine and order as follows:
Section 1. The public interest and convenience re-
quire and it is the intention of the City Council of said city
of National City to order the following work to be done or
improvement to be made in the City of National City, to wit:
Coolidge Avenue from 13th to 1i Streets, 17th Street from
Hoover to Railroad Track be improved as follows: by paving
and installation of curbs and that any other work auxiliary
t o. any of the above and which may be required to carry out
the same, be performed.
Section 2. The attention of all persons is directed
to the fact that all of said classes of work above described
may not be constructed upon all of the streets or public ways
above mentioned in their entirety, but only upon the particular
locations shown on the plans, specifications and drawings.
Section 3. The estimated cost of said work, including
incidental expenses, is the sum of $ 56,22-7.84. The City has
budgeted a sum equal to 28.67%,of the total project cost as a
contribution toward the cost of said work.
Section 4. All the aforesaid work or improvement
shall be constructed at the grades, along the lines, between
the points, of the dimensions, at the places and in the manner
shown on the plans, specifications, profiles and drawings for
the said work approved and adopted by this Council on August /6 ,
1966, by Resolution No. 9/87. Said plans, specifications, pro-
files and drawings are on file in the office of the City Clerk
of the City of National City in the City Hall of said City,
and reference is hereby made to said plans, specifications, pro-
files and drawings for a full and detailed description of said
proposed work and for a description of the grades at which said
work is to be done. Said grades are hereby adopted and esta- •
blished as the official grades for all purposes in connection
with proceedings pursuant to this Resolution of Intention.
Notice is hereby given that said grades may be new and dif-
ferent from those heretofore established or existing, or may
be, and in some cases are, different from existing ground

Section 5. This City Council hereby makes the
expense of said work chargeable upon a district, which district
this City Council hereby declares to be the district benefited
by the said work and to be assessed to pay the cost and expenses
thereof, For a description of said district, reference is here-
by made to a plat of said district heretofore approved by this
City Council on file in the office of the City Clerk and desig-
nated as 'PLAT OF ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 151 FOR STREET
IMPROVEMENT ON COOLIDGE AVENUE FROM 13TH TO STREETS, 17TH
STREET FROM HOOVER TO RAAILROAD TRACK, ALL IN THE CITY OF
NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA."- This map indicates by a boundary
line the extent of the territory included in the said proposed
district and shall govern for all details as to the extent of
said assessment district.
Section 6. All public streets or public parks,
and all easements or rights of way: belonging to the public,
and also all property owned by the United States of America
or the State of California now in use in the performance of
a public function are hereby specifically excluded from this
assessment district.
Section 7. Serial_bonds bearing interest at the
rate of six percent (6%) per annum shall be issued to represent
each assessment of fifty dollars ($50.00) or over remaining
unpaid for thirty (30) days after the date of recordation of
the warrant. Said serial bonds shall extend over a period
ending nine (9) years from the second day of January next
succeeding the next September 1 following their date. Said
bonds shall be payable to bearer and there shall be added
after the redemption clause in the bond the following language,
"together with a premium of five percent (5%) of said unma-
tured principal."' Said bonds are to be issued pursuant to and
as provided in the Improvement Act of 1911, Division 7 of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California,
Section 8. The said proposed work is to be done
under and proceedings therefore are to be under and pursuant
to the said Improvement Act of 1911.
Section 9. Notice is hereby given that the 27thday
of September, 1966, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. are the clay
and hour when, and the Council Chambers of this City Council
in the City Hall in the City of National City is the place
where, any and all persons having any protest or objection to
said proposed work or to the extent of said assessment district,
or to the proposed grades, may appear before the city Council
of the City of National City and show cause why said proposed
work should not be carried out in accordance with this Reso-
lution of Intention. Protests or objections must be in writing
and must be delivered to the City Clerk of said City of National
City not later than the hour herein set for hearing protests or
objections.
Section 10. The National City Star News is hereby
selected as the newspaper in which this resolution shall be
published and in which all other publications regarding the
proceedings pursuant to this Resolution of Intention shall be
made. The City Clerk is hereby directed to certify to the adop-
tion of this Resolution and to cause said resolution to be pub-
lished in the manner provided by law.
Section 11, The City Clerk is hereby directed to
mailnotices of the adoption of this resolution as provided in
said Improvement Act of 1911, postage prepaid, to ail persons
owning real property which is proposed to be assessed to pay
any part of the cost of said work whose names and addresses.

Section 12. The Street Superintendent of the City of
National city is hereby directed to cause to be conspicuously
posted along the line of the contemplated work and on all open
streets within the said assessment district notices of the pas-
sage of this aesolution of Intention in the time, form and
manner provided by law.

NOTICE IS HEREBY IVEN that on August 16, 1966, the
City Council of the City of National. City passed and adopted
Resolution of Intention No. 9189 under the provisions of the
Improvement Act of 1911 for the purpose of ordering the fol-
lowing work to be done and improvements to be made in the City
of National City, County of San Diego, State of California to
wit:

17TH STREET FROM HOOVER TO RAILROAD TRACK, ASSE(SSMENT DISTRICT
NO. 151 be improved as follows: by paving and installation
of curbs and that any other work auxiliary to any of the above
and which may be required to carry out the same, be performed,
excepting therefrom all of the herein -described work of all
said work that has already been done to the lines and grades
and in accordance with the plans, specifications and drawings
hereafter described.
The estimated cost of the construction of said im-
provements is the sum of $56,227.84 including incidental ex-
penses. The City of National City has budgeted asum equal
to 28.67% of the total project cost as a contribution toward
the cost of said work. The remaininq costs thereof will be
assessed upon the property benefited. According to the last
equalized roll for taxes you are the owner of property within
the boundaries of the district which will be assessed to pay
the costs and expenses of this improvement. Said Resolution
of Intention No. 9189 is on file in the office of the City
Clerk of the City of National City and is referred to for all
particulars.
NOTICE IS HERESY GIVEN THAT ON:
September 27, 1966, at the hour of 8:00 p.m. of said day, at
the meeting place of the City Council of the City of National
City, 12t.3 National Avenue, National City, California has
been fixed as the time and place of hearing any and all objec-
tions to the proposed work and improvement, the grades to
which said work is proposed to be done, or the boundaries of
the district. Any persons owning property within the boun-
daries of the district may present written protest, not later
than the hour hereinabove set for hearing, against the doing
of said work, the grades to which said work is to be done or
the boundaries of the district proposed to be assessed. Any
protest filed must be in writing and must contain a descrip-
tion of the property in which the signer thereof is interested,
sufficient to identify the same, and must be delivered to the
City Clerk of the City of National City.
This work is to be done by special assessment r o-
ceedings under the Improvement Act of 1911. Property owners
will be able to pay their assessments in cash at the termination
of work and confirmation of the assessment. If any property
owner does not desire to pay for the work in cash, a bond will
be issued against the property for the amount of any assess-
ment of $50.00 or more, under the Improvement Act of 1911, which
bond will bear interest at the rate of six percent (6%) per
annum and will be payable in equal installments over a period
of nine (9) years.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on August /6 , 1966,
the City Council of the City of National City passed and adopted
Resolution of Intention No. 9189 under the provisions of the
Improvement Act of 1911 for the purpose of ordering the follow-
ing work to be done and improvements to be made in the City of
National City, County of San Diego, State of California, to
wit:
