RESOLUTION URGING THE SELLING OF HIGHER
PRIORITY ON THE IMPROVEMENT OF PARADISE VALLEY ROAD
WHEREAS, Paradise Valley Road is a major artery
serving the City of National City from the east and soon to be
connected to Route 805, and
WHEREAS, different political entities have responsi-
bility for the improvement of this street, and
WHEREAS, there have been numerous traffic accidents
on Paradise Valley Road, including that of a City of San Diego
police officer during recent years;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of National City hereby urgently requests the City
of San Diego and the County of San Diego to give the matter of
the improvement of Paradise Valley Roadeast of National City,
higher priority in order to forestall the rising toll of traf-
fic accidents and fatalities resulting from inadequate highway
facilities to cope with present and projected. increase in traf-
fic flow.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and is
hereby directed to forwarda copy of this resolution to the San
Diego City Council, San Diego County Board of Supervisors,
National City Chamber of Commerce and National City Junior
Chamber of Commerce.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this llth day of January, 1966.
