RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
AGREEMENT FOR REPAIR OF RADAR EQUIPMENT
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
National City, California that the City Manager is hereby
authorized and. directed to execute that certain Agreement for
repair of radar equipment between the City of National City
and. the City of San Diego.

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this
.O day of December, 1965 by and between the City
of San Diego, a municipal corporation in the County of
San Diego, State of California, hereinafter called
"San Diego" and the City of National City, a municipal'
corporation in tha County of San Diego, State of California,
hereinafter called "National City,"
RECITALS
A. San Diego has facilities for the maintenance
and repair of radar speed meters at its Electrical
Division, Department of Public Works, 20th and "B"
Streets, San Diego.
B. National City owns or operates radar speed
meter equipment, but lacLca and desires the benefit of
certain of San Diego's repair facilities; NOW, THEREFORE,
IN CONSIMATION of the mutual undertaking and
obligations of the parties hereto, as hereinafter expressed,
it is mutually agreed by and between San Diego and National
City as follows:
1. San Diego agrees to furnish all labor, parts
and materials necessary to service, maintain and
keep in repair.all of the radar speed meter equipment
owned or operated by National City.
2. San Diego agrees to provide expert witnesses
for National City in any trials involving the use of
radar speed meter equipment, when requested by National
City.
3. National City agrees that in compensation
for the maintenance and repair of radar speed meter
equipment owned or operated by them, to pay to San
Diego on or before the twentieth day of each month
•
during the life of this agreement, monthly charges
in arrears, based on the actual costs of. the
preceding month's services, plus twenty percent of
labor for overhead.
4. National City agrees, that in compensation
for. expert witness service, to pay to San Diego on
or before the twentieth day of each month in arrears
during the life of this agreement, sixty-five ($65.00 )
for each -day -or fraction thereof, that each export
witness is required.
This agreement shall cover the term beginning
January 1, 1966 and shall continue to and through December 31,
1970, unless either party hereto cancel3 the sae by giving
written notice to the other at least sixty days in advance
of the effective date of such cancellation. This agree nt.
may be extended as to term by resolution of the legislative
bodies of San Diego and National:City.

BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of The City of San Diego as follows:
That the City Manager, be, and he is hereby authorized and
empowered to execute for and on behalf of said City, an agreement
with THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA, for the service,
maintenance, and repair of radar speed meter equipment owned by
National City and for providing expert witnesses for National City
in Court trials involving use of radar speed meter equipment, under
the terms and conditions set forth in the form of agreement on -
file in the office of the City Clerk as Document No. o 3.S8!
