RESOLUTION DIRECTING NOTICE OF FILING OF ASSESSMENT AND TIME
OF HEARING THEREON
(9th Street and "C" Avenue,
Assessment District No. 143)
The City Council of the City of National City does
hereby resolve as follows:
1. The City Council hereby finds that HAROLD C.
FOSTER, as Engineer of Work and City Engineer of the City of
National City, California, has filed with the City Clerk of
the City of National City, an assessment to represent the
costs and expense of the work and improvement done andmade
by M. L. CHILCOTE pursuant to Resolution of Intention No.
8919 adopted on the 18th day of May, 1965.
2. That the City Clerk of the City of National
City be and hereby is directed to give notice by publication,
posting and mailing in the time and manner provided by law of
the filing of said assessment andof the time set for hearing
thereon.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of September, 1965,

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that HAROLD C. FOSTER, acting
as the Engineer of Work and the Superintendent of Streets of
the City of National City, California, has made an assessment
under the improvement act of 1911, and Resolution of Intention.
No. 8919 adopted by the City Council of said City on the 18th
day of May, 1965 to cover the costs and expenses, including
incidental expenses of certain street improvement work which is
described in said Resolution of Intention. Said Assessment is
now on file in the office of the City Clerk in the City Hall of
the City of National City. Reference is hereby made to said
Resolution of Intention for a description of the street improve-
ment work, the assessment district, the bonds to be issued and
for further particulars.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that, pursuant to said im-
provement Act of 1911, the City Clerk of National City hereby
fixes the 26th day of October, 1965 at the hour of 8:00 p.m.
as the day and hour, and the Council Chambers of said. City
Council in said City Hall as the place when and where any and
all persons interested in said work or in saidassessment or
in the proceedings will be heard by the City Council of National
City. The said work is done under and the proceedings therefor
are pursuant to said Improvement Act of 1911.
The property owners, the contractor for said work or
their assigns, andall other persons interestedin said work,
or in saidassessment, who feel aggrievedby any act or deter-
mination of the Superintendent of Streets or the Engineers of
Work in relation thereto, or who claim that saidwork has not
been performed according to the contract therefor in a good.
and substantial manner, or who claim that any portion of said
work for any reason was omittedor illegally included in said
contract, or having or making any objection to the correctness
of said assessment or the diagram attached thereto or any other
act, determination or proceedings of said Superintendent of
Streets or said. Engineer of Work shall, prior to the day here-
inabove fixed for said hearing, appeal to said City Council by
briefly stating in writing the ground of appeal as providedin
said Improvement Act of 1911.
