A RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF INTENTION TO VACATE AND CLOSE
PORTIONS OF WILSON AVENUE
The City Council of the City of National City does
resolve as follows:
1. The City Council of the City of National City,
California, hereby declares its intention to vacate and close,
pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 of Division 9 of the
Streets and Highways Code of California, that portion of Wilson
Avenue in the City of National City, County of San Diego, State
of California as dedicated by Resolution No. 8074 of said City
of National City and more particularly described. as follows:
All that portion of Lots 3 to 10, inclusive, Block
153; Lots 13 to 22, inclusive, Biock 165, Lots 13 to 22, in-
clusive, Block 166; Lots 13 to 22, inclusive, Biock 167; Lots
13 to 19, inclusive, Block 168; together with those portions
of the Northerly Half of 25th Street adjoining Lot 10, Block
153, the Easterly Half of Wilson Avenue, formerly 5th Avenue,
adjoining Block 153 and the Westerly Half of the alley in
Block 153; those portions of 25th Street adjoining Lot 13,
Block 168 and Lot 22, Block 167; those portions of the 26th
Street adjoining Lot 13, Block 167 and Lot 22, Block 166;
those portions of 27th Street adjoining Lot 13, Biock 166 and
Lot 22, Block 165; that portion of the Northerly Half of 28th
Street adjoining Lot 13, Block 165; those portions of the
Westerly Half of Wilson Avenue, formerly 5th Avenue adjoining
Blocks 165 to 168, inclusive and the Easterly Half of the alleys
in Blocks 165 to 168, inclusive vacated and closed. to Public use,
all in National City, in the City of National City, County of
San Diego, State of California, according to Map thereof No. 348,
filed in the office of the County Recorder of San Diego County,
October 2, 1882, which lies within the following description,
being a strip of land 80.00 feet wide lying 40.00 feet on each
side of the following described centerline:
Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of
24th Street and 6th Avenue, the latter subsequently renamed
Bay Boulevard, as said. streets are shown on Map No. 348 of
National City; thence North 72° 27' 53" Et.st, along the former
centerline of 24th Street, 357.15 feet; thence South 18° 40'
54" East, 94.90 feet to the beginning of a tangent 87.00 foot
radius curve, concave Westerly; thence Southerly along the
arc of said curve, through a central angle of 15° 56' 34", an
arc distance of 24.20 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING;
thence South 2° 44' 20" East, 586.01 feet to the beginning of
a tangent curve, concave Northeasterly, having a radius of
87.00 feet; thence Southerly and Southeasterly along the arc
of said curve, through a central angle of 15° 28' 40", an arc
distance of 23.50 feet; thence tangent to said curve South
17° 53' 00" East to a terminus in the Northerly line of Bahia
Vista :Subdivision according to Map thereof No. 1815, filed.
December 19, 1924 in the office of the Recorder of said.
County.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM (1) that portion, if any, of
24th Street lying within the above description, and (2) that
portion lying Northerly of a line described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwesterly corner of said Block
168; thence along the Northerly line of said Block 168, North
71° 47' 36" East, 125.00 feet; thence leaving said Northerly
line along the center line of the alley in said Block 168,
South 18° 14' 05" East, 105.00 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGIN-
NING; thence leaving said center line of the alley, North 63°
04' 53" East, 132.07 feet; thence North 71° 47' 36" East,
75.75 feet; thence along a curve to the left with a radius
of 450 feet through an angle of 18° 15' a distance of 143.34
feet; thence North 53° 32' 36" East, 110.99 feet; thence along
a curve to the right with a radius of 350 feet, through an
angle of 18° 15' a distance of 111.48 feet; thence North 18°
12' 24" West, 10.00 feet to the Northerly line of Block 104
of said National City
2. Time for hearing any and all persons interested
in or objecting to the proposed vacation is hereby set for 8:00
p.m., June 22, 1965, in the City Council Chambers in the City
Hall in the City of National City, California.
3. The City Engineer of the City of National City,
California is hereby directed to post notice of the passage of
this Resolution and the time and place of hearing in accord-
ance with law.
