RESOLUTION ENDORSING PORT DISTRICT BOND ISSUES
WHEREAS, the San Diego Unified Port District has
placed on the November 3, 1964 ballot the following bond issues
to develop Port facilities:
G - Lindbergh International Airport Terminal $5,410,000
R - Harbor Island $1,530,000
J - 24th Street Terminal, National City $3,930,000
and
WHEREAS, these measures are essential to the economic
and industrial growth of our metropolitan area; and
WHEREAS, the San Diego Unified Port District has proven
that its financial authority has been exercised wisely and profit-
ably and that income from Harbor and Airport operations will re-
deem the bonds; and
WHEREAS, in order to achieve the two-thirds majority
vote required to approve these bond issues, it is imperative
that all voters be informed of the critical needs of our Unified
Port District.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of National City endorses the three Port District bond is..
sues, and hereby pledges to publicize as far as possible the
importance to our communities of these bond issues.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7-0 day of October, 1964.
