RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK
(2nd Street East of Harbison Avenue)
WHEREAS, on the 27th day of December, 1963, the
City Council of the City of National City passed its Resolu-
tion of Intention No. 8553 to order certain work to be done
and improvements to be made on 2ND STREET EAST OF HARBISON
AVENUE pursuant to the provisions of the "Improvement Act of
1911", and
WHEREAS, said Resolution of Intention was duly pub-
lished, and notice of its adoption was duly posted and mailed,
all in the time, form and manner as required by law, and
WHEREAS, this City Council had duly received and
considered evidence oral and documentary concerning the juris-
dictional facts in this proceeding and concerning the necessity
for the contemplated work and improvement and the benefits to
be derived therefrom, and said City Council has now acquired
jurisdiction to order the proposed improvement.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
National City, California, does hereby resolve, determine and
order as follows:
1. That the public interest and convenience require
the said improvement and the City Council hereby orders that
the work and improvement, as set forth and described in said
Resolution of Intention No. 8553 adopted on the 27th day of
December, 1963, and in the plans and specifications therein
referred to, be done and made, and that all protests against
said work or improvement, if any, be and hereby are overruled.
2. That the boundaries of the assessment district,
and the grades to which said work and improvements are to be
constructed, shall be those set forth and described in said
Resolution of Intention No. 8553, and in the plans and speci-
fications therein referred to, reference to which is hereby
made for all further particulars.
3. That the time hereby fixed for receiving sealed
proposals or bids for the doing of said work and making of said
improvements herein ordered is the ql-N day of YV\QYQ k , 1964,
at the hour of 3'•O0 P.M., and the City Clerk is hereby ordered
to give notice inviting such sealed bids in the time, form and
manner provided by law. All proposals or bids shall be delivered
to the City Clerk and shall be opened, and examined and declared
by said City Clerk at a public meeting in the City Clerk's office
in the City Hall of National City, California, at the time and
date aforesaid; and said City Clerk shall report the results of
the bidding to the City Council at the next regular meeting after
the opening of the bids.
