RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION
TO WINNER OF MUNICIPAL YOUTH RECOGNITION AWARD
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the. City of National City
has successfully launched a program to recognize and acknowl-
edge the outstanding achievements of the young people in our
community, and
WHEREAS, this beneficial program has received the
wide acclaim and support of various public spirited citizens
and organizations throughout the City because it stresses ac-
complishments rather than gives added emphasis to the prob-
lems and grievances of our youth, and
WHEREAS, LAVERNE WILLETT has been chosen the
winner of the MUNICIPAL YOUTH RECOGNITION AWARD of the month
of April for exemplary and meritorious accomplishments worthy
of this particular honor and distinction;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Coun-
cil of the City of National City hereby commends and con-
gratulates LAVERNE WILLETT as the deserving recipient of
this coveted award, hoping others are inspired to meet the
challenge it represents.
