HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 8356RESOLUTION NO, 8356 RESOLUTION OPPOSING SENATE BILL 845 WHEREAS, Senate Bill 845 has been introduced in the California Legislature, and WHEREAS, said bill if passed would regulate the right of certain business enterprises to remain open for business on Sundays, and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this City Council that it is not a proper function of government to regulate the days of the week during which any business enterprise may be open for business, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of National City opposes the passage of Senate Bill 845, and the City Clerk is authorized and directed to mail a certified copy of this resolution to Senator Alan Short, Chairman, Senate Business and Professions Committee, and to each legislator in the California Legis- lature representing voters in the City of National City. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of April, 1963. ATTEST: CITY CLERK
