RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK
(Highland Avenue - Division Street to Fourth Street and
Eighteenth Street to Thirtieth Street)
WHEREAS, on the28th day of December, 1962, the City
Council of the City of National City passed its Resolution of
Intention No. 8269 to order certain work to be done and im-
provements to be made on "'HIGHLAND AVENUE - DIVISION STREET TO
FOURTH STREET AND EIGHTEENTH STREET TO THIRTIETH STREET pursuant
to the provisions of the °Improvement Act of I9I I", and
WHEREAS, said Resolution of Intention was duly pub•
►ished, and notice of its adoption was duly posted and mailed,
all in the time, form and manner as required by law, and
WHEREAS, this City Council had duly received and
considered evidence oral and documentary concerning the juris-
dictional facts in this proceeding and concerning the necessity
for the contemplated work and improvement and the benefits tobe
derived therefrom, and said City Council has now acquired juris-
diction to order the proposed improvement.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
National City, California, does hereby resolve, determine and
order as follows:
1. That the public interest and convenience require
the said improvement and the City Council hereby orders that the
work and improvement, as set forth and described in said Res-
olution of Intention No. 8269 adopted on the 28th day of December,
1962, and in the plans and specifications therein referred to,
be done and made, and that all protests against said work or
improvement, if any, be and hereby are overruled.
2. That the boundaries of the assessment district,
and the grades to which said work and improvements are to be
constructed, shall be those set forth and described in said
Resolution of Intention No. 8269, and in the plans and ,speci-
fications therein referred to, reference to which is hereby
made for all further particulars.
3. That the time hereby fixed for receiving sealed
proposals or bids for the doing of said work and making of
said improvements herein ordered is the ID th day of June
1963, at the hour 3:00 P.M. and the City Clerk is hereby
ordered to give notice inviting such sealed bids in the time,
form and manner provided by law. All proposals or bids shall
be delivered to the City Clerk and shall be opened, and ex-
amined and declared by said City Clerk at a public meeting in
the City Clerk's office in the City Hall of National City,
California, at the time and date aforesaid; and said City Clerk
shall report the results of the bidding to the City Council at
the next regular meeting after the opening of the -bids.
