RESOLUTION FINDING AND DECLARING THAT MAJORITY PROTEST HAS
NOT BEEN MADE: LOWER SWEETWATER LOCAL FIRE DISTRICT
NO. I
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8357, the City
Council in the Council Chambers of the City of National City
on May 14, 1963, held a public hearing for the purpose of
allowing appropriate interested parties to present written
protest against the annexation of the Lower Sweetwater Local
Fire District No. 1, and
WHEREAS, it was determined that insufficient pro-
tests were made to terminate further proceedings at said
hearings, and said meeting was recessed for a period of at
least ten days pursuant to Government Code Section 35120, for
the purpose of filing supplemental protests, and
WHEREAS, said meeting was reconvened on the 28th
day of May, 1963, at the hour of 8:00 p.m., at which recon-
vened meeting additional written protests were received by the
Council, and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that written protests
received at the May 14th meeting and the reconvened meeting on
May 28th, taken together, are insufficient to constitute a
majority.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved as follows:
That pursuant to Government Code Section 35121.1,
it is hereby found and declared that a majority protest has
not been made against the annexation of Lower Sweetwater Local
Fire District No. 1.
