RESOL.J(1ON GRANTING ZONE VARIANCE PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE NO. 962
The City Council of the City of National City does
hereby find, determine, order and resolve as follows:
1. That practical difficulties, unnecessary hard-
ship, and a result inconsistent with the general purpose and
interns of Ordinance No. 962 would occur through strict appli-
cation of the provisions of said Ordinance to that certain
real property hereinafter described.
2. That a Petition requesting a variance has been
filed pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of said Ordinance
and said Petition complies with all the requirements of said
section.
3. That the National City Planning Commission did
hold a hearing on said Petition and did recommend to the City
Council that a variance be granted.
4. That the granting of a variance with reference to
the property hereinafter described will not defeat, but rather
will .arry out the general intent and purpose of the National
City Zoning Ordinance, will provide for the public safety and
welfare and will administer substantial justice.
5. That a variance from the provisions of said Ordin-
ance 962 be and hereby is granted with reference to all the
carte n real property situated in the City of National City,
California, more particularly described as follows:
That portion of the East Quarter of the Northeast Quarter
of Quarter Section 106 of Rancho de la Nacion, in the City
of National City, County of San Diego, State of California,
according to Map thereof by orr i l 1 No. 166 f ii led in the
Office of the County .Recorder of San Diego County, described
as follows: Beginning et the Northeasterly corner of said
Quarter Section 106; thence South 18° 29' East along the
Easterly line thereof 598.00 feet to the true point of
beginning, thence South 71° 17' 25" West 291.35 feet to
-:he East line of land described in deed to the City of
i`ational City for street purposes, recorded May 28, 1956
in Book 6119, page 57 of official records, thence South
18° 28' 35" East (Record South I9° 00' East) along said
East line of 332.00 feet; thence North 71° 17' 25" East
2°1.39 feet to a point in said easterly line of Quarter
`section 106 thence north 18° 29' '\Vest along said Easterly
ine 332.00 feet to the True Point of Beginning. (1035

6. That the variance hereby granted is as foIlows:
Permission to install and maintain one advertising identification
sign 17' or 322 square feet; to be constructed 36 feet from the
bottom of the sign to the established grade of the land.
7. In the event that the City Council should here-
after find and determine that the conditions above set forth
have -lot been satisfied, it may declare this variance void
and of no further effect.
