HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 8501RESOLUTION NO. 8501 RESOLUTION THANKING PARTICIPANTS OF 6TH ANNUAL SALUTE TO NAVY WEEK WHEREAS, the recent 6TH ANNUAL SALUTE TO NAVY WEEK held in National City October 20 through October 27, 1963, was an outstanding contribution towards community -service harmony and a great tribute paid by the citizens of the City of National City honoring this particular branch of our military service, and WHEREAS, the exuberance and enthusiasm displayed by the sponsors of this worthwhile event united with the efforts expended by cooperative residents of the City of National City resulted in the tremendous success of this project; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of National City hereby thanks and commends each of the following persons, groups and organizations for their participation in the 6TH ANNUAL SALUTE TO NAVY WEEK: DELTON REOPELLE, GENERAL CHAIRMAN MR AND MRS LUTHER REID VERNE WOLFE HENRY WILSON ROTARY CLUB KIWANIS CLUB ERNEST MELLOR TOM LEONARD NATIONAL CITY HOSTESSES MISS NATIONAL CITY MISS LA MESA CITY EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION FLEET RESERVE ASSOCIATION BRANCH #I18 FRATERNAL ORDER OF EAGLE AND AUXILIARY PARK DEPARTMENT POLICE DEPARTMENT I1TH NAVAL DISTRICT HEADQUARTERS DAL WID1CK, SPECIAL SERVICES, US NAVAL STATION MRS HOWARD COLBURN MRS I DA MAE KERR CAPT.
