HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 8511RESOLUTION NO. 8511 RESOLUTION ADOPTING WAGE SCALE ("J" Avenue from 18th Street to 24th Street, "K" Avenue from 2ist Street to 24th Street, 21st Street from Highland Avenue to "L" Avenue, 23rd Street from "I" Avenue to "L" Avenue) The City Council of the City of National City does hereby resolve as follows: The City Council does hereby determine and establish that the general prevailing rate of per diem wage for each type of craft or workman needed to execute or perform the necessary work and improvement on "J" AVENUE FROM 18TH STREET TO 24TH STREET, "K" AVENUE FROM 21ST STREET TO 24TH STREET, 21ST STREET FROM HIGHLAND AVENUE TO "L" AVENUE, 23RD STREET FROM "I" AVENUE TO "L" AVENUE is in accordance with the schedule appended here- to and described as "Schedule of Per Diem Wage Rate" and said schedule shall be embodied in the notice inviting sealed bids and all contract documents in connection with said work and improvements. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of November, 1963. ATTEST: / CITY CLERK v�t� . j "SCHEDULE OR PER DIEM WAGE RATE" Revised January 22, 1963 Under the provisions of the California Labor Code, the City Council of the City of National City has determined the prevailing rate of per diem wages for the locality to be as follows: (Rates are for an eight (8) hour day unless otherwise specified.) CLASSIFICATION RATE PER DIEM LABORERS: General or Construction $26.64 Operators and Tenders of Pneumatic and Electric Tools, Vibrating Machines and similar Mechanical Tools, 28.32 not separately classified herein 28.32 Asphalt Raker and Ironer Fine Grader (Highway and Street Paving only) Laying of all non-metallic Pipe including Sewer Pipe, 29.12 Drain Pipe, and under ground tile Making and caulking of all non-metallic Pipe Joints, 28.16 Tarman, Mortarman and Pot Man OPERATING ENGINEERS: Concrete or Asphalt Spreading, Tamping or Finishing 35.48 Machine Operator 35.48 Concrete Mixer Operator - Mobile Mixer Motor Patrol Operator, including any type of Power Blade 35.48 36.28 Pavement Breaker Operator 35.4 Roller Operator, Compacting 6 Skip Loader Operator - Wheel Type up to and including 1 1/2 yards 35,48 Skip Loader Operator - Wheel Type over 1 1/2 yards 33.0836.28 Tow Blade Operator Tractor Operator - Bulldozer, Tamper, Scraper or Dragtype 35.48 Shovel or similar Type 33.96 Trenching Machine Operator (Up to 6 foot depth) TRUCK DRIVERS: Level Capacity: Less than 8 yards 30.04 8 yards but less than 12 yards 30.44 12 yards but less than 16 yards 31.08 16 yards or more 32.84 OTHER TRADES: Cement Mason 33.32 32.80 Carpenter 0 38.4 Reinforcing Iron Worker 38. Journeyman Electrician 26.6410 ANY CLASSIFICATION OMITTED HEREIN NOT LESS THAN Overtime shall be one and one-half (1 1/2) times the above rate. Sundays and Holidays shall be one and one-half (1 1/2) times the above rate. The Standard day shall be considered as eight (8) hours and overtime shall be paid for any time in excess of this amount. -2-
