PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION OF LEGISLATIVE BODY
UNDER "SPECIAL ASSESSMENT INVESTIGATION, LIMITATION AND
MAJORITY PROTEST ACT OF 1931"
("F" AVENUE FROM SIXTEENTH STREET TO SEVENTEENTH STREET)
The City Council of the City of National City does
hereby resolve as follows:
That certain improvements are proposed to be done and
made within the boundaries of the proposed assessment district
hereinafter described in the City of National City, California.
In connection therewith said City Council hereby finds and
determines as follows:
(1) The nature of the proposed improvements consists
of removing trees, excavating for roadway, paving roadway, con-
struc:ion of standard Type "G" curb, and adjusting manhole
cover,
(2) The location and extent of the proposed improve-
ments will involve the construction of the described improvements
upon The following described public streets and public ways
withii the boundaries of the proposed assessment district herein-
after described, to wit: "F" AVENUE FROM SIXTEENTH STREET TO
SEVENTEENTH STREET.
(3) The boundaries of the district of lands proposed
to be specially assessed to pay the costs and expenses of said
proposed work and improvement are as shun upon a plat on file
in the office of the City Clerk of the City of National City,
which said map indicates by a boundary line the territory to
be included in the proposed assessment district, and which said
map o- plat governs for all details as to the extent of the
district; said map or plat is designated "PLAT OF PROPOSED AS-
SESSMENT DISTRICT FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF "F" AVENUE FROM SIX-
TEENTH STREET TO SEVENTEENTH STREET; ALL IN NATIONAL CITY,
CALIFORNIA".
(4) The City has budgeted the sum of 51,000.00 from
its funds for this project, and said sum represents 13.7% of
of the estimated cost of said work. The City hereby agrees to
pay a sum equal to said 13.7% of the actual cost of said work,
or the sum of $I,000.00, whichever is the lesser, as a contri-
bution towards the cost of said work. The entire remaining
cost of said proposed improvements shall be assessed against
the benefited property.
(5) The statute under which it is proposed to con-
duct proceedings for the said work is the improvement Act of
1911 of the State of California, with Improvement Bonds to be
issued as authorized under the provisions of said act.
(6) The proposed work to be done is described upon
the plans and specifications which are on file with the City
Clerk of the City of National City, and said plans and speci-
fications are hereby referred to for all particulars relative
thereto and are open to inspection by anyone interested.
