RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT
WITH THE CALIFORNIA STATE PERSONNEL BOARD
FOR TECHNICAL PERSONNEL SERVICES
WHEREAS it appears to the City Council of the City
of National City to be the best interests of the City to enter
into an agreement with the State Personnel Board for Technical
Personnel Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL
CITY, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
That the Mayor of the City of National City is hereby
authorized and directed to execute, and the City Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to attest, that certain Agreement, a
copy of which is attached and incorporated by reference.

G! ^❑EH; That the parties, for and in consideration of the
covenants, conditions, agreements, and stipulations hereinafter
expresse6, hereby agree as folio' s°
1. In consideration of the payment by the CITY
the Beara of the sum hereinafter prescribed in Schedule A, the
Board d.)e3 hereby agree to perform three technical personnel
services hereinafter set forth, parsa.ant to the authority contained
in Section 18707, Government Code.
2. The Board shall
A. Prepare a classification plan covering
employees of the CITY
B. prepare a compensation plan for those
classes of positions recommended by the
Board.
in performing the services incident to the preparation of a
classification plan, the Board shall:
(i lake ,job analyses of all positions agreed to between the
parties, prepare appropriate class specifications, and allocate all
positions to their pro er classifications.
(2) Prepare such rules and recalations as ?!..ay be necessary
to adminiutC~ the classification plan.
(3) When requested, advise and assist the CITY
in technial matters of personnel administration.
In performing the services incident to the preparation of a
compensation plan for the classified service of the CITY
the Board shall:
(1) Prepare salary range recommendations for all classes of
positions in the CITY'S service.
(2) Perform all necessary technical work in connection with
the above function.
(3) Prepare rules and regulations necessary for the administration
of the compensation plan in the CITY
Schedule A
In consideration of the performance of the above functions by
not to exceed $2800.
the Board, the CITY agrees to reimburse the Board/for the
letters costs, as determined by the Board including:
(1) Salaries, retirement, vacation, sick leave and related
operating expenses.
(2) The actual travel expense of such employee between
Sacramento or other permanent headquarters and the CUT
in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Board of Control
of the State of California concerning such expenses.
(3 The living expenses for such employees while engaged
in the above -mentioned activities away from Sacramento or other
permanent headquarters, in accordance with the rules and regulations
of amid Board of Control concerning such expenses.

The Board shall, from time to time, submit invoices covering
services rendered, and the
CITY agrees to pay such
invoices within. sixty (60) days following receipt thereof. This
agreement ray be terminated by wither party hereto upon thirty (30)
days written notice prior to the date of termination.
