A RESOLUTION DEDICATING LAS PALMAS PARK
AND.AMENDING.RESOLUTION NO. 6280
Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of
National City as follows:
1. That all that certain real property situated in
the City of National City, County of San Diego, State of Calif-
ornia, more fully described in Exhibit A which is attached
hereto and incorporated herein by reference, be and the same
is hereby declared and dedicated asa public park.
2. Said park shall be and is hereby designated and
shall hereby be known as Las Palmas Park.
3. Paragraph 2 of Resolution No. 6280 of the City of
National City is hereby amended to read as follows:
Said park be and it is hereby designated and
shall be known as Las Palmas Park.
4. The above described real property herein dedicated
and declared a public park, shall be subject to the following
reservations and rights which the City Council of National City
hereby specifically reserves:
(a) The right to erect and maintain buildings for
public park and recreation purposes designed for the recreation,
pleasure and enjoyment of the community.
(b) The right to erect and maintain structures
to be used for recreation, fallout shelter, recovery or reception
area as defined under the Civil Defense Program.
(c) The right to use in its entirety or any portion
thereof for recovery or reception area as defined by the Civil
Defense Program.
(d) The right to erect and maintain public park-
ing areas, zoos, aviaries, playgrounds and athletic fields.
(e) The right to erect and maintain wells and
pumping stations.
if) The right to construct and maintain roads
and streets for public use when needed subject to the approval
of the City Council after having considered the recommendations
of the Planning Commission, Park and Recreation Advisory Board
and Park Superintendent.
(g) Upon action by the City Council any portion
of Las Palmas Park may be temporarily used by the Federal,
State, County or Municipal Government for the operation and
maintenance of fairgrounds.
5. It is hereby specifically provided that the real
property herein dedicated and declared as a public park, or
any portion thereof shall not be sold, transferred or conveyed,
or used for any purpose other than park purposes, or further
uses as are more specifically reserved herein above in this
resolution, except upon compliance with the provisions of
Title 4, Division 3, Part 2, Chapter 9, Article 2, or any
amendments thereto, of the Government Code of the State of
California.
