A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NATIONAL CITY CONSENTING TO THE
COMMENCEMENT OF.PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN INHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "LINCOLN ACRES"
WHEREAS, on March 14, 1961, a petition was presented
to the City Council of the City of National City requesting
the City Council to give its consent to the commencement of annexa-
tion proceedings in connection with that certain inhabited territory
therein referred to and generally described, which is contiguous to
the City of National City; and
WHEREAS, said petition was referred to the Planning
Commission of the City of National City for investigation, report
and recommendation; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission rendered its report and
recommendation to the council on the 21st day of March, 1961,
favoring the commencement of annexation proceedings; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to give its
consent to the commencement of such annexation proceedings upon
condition that the electors within said territoryhe informed at
the time the petition for annexation is circulated that the question
to be submitted to said electors shall be whether the territory
shall be annexed, and the property in the territory subjected to
taxation after annexation equally with the property within the
City of National City to pay the entire bonded indebtedness of the
City of National City outstanding or authorized at the date of the
first publication of the notice of election, for the acquisition,
construction or completion of municipal improvements; and the
property in the territory subjected to taxation after annexation to
pay the amount of money fixed to represent the value to the territory
of municipal improvements already paid for by city taxpayers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NATIONAL CITY:
1. That consent be and hereby is granted for the commence-
ment of annexation proceedings in connection with said inhabited
territory in accordance with the Annexation Act of 1913, provided
the petition for annexation contains a request that the question to
be submitted to the electors residing in the territory proposed to
be annexed shall be whether the territory shall be annexed, and the
property in the territory subjected to taxation after annexation
equally with property within the City of National City to pay the
bonded indebtedness of the City of National City outstanding or
authorized at the date of the first publication of the notice of
election for the acquisition, construction or completion of munici-
pal improvements; and the property in the territory subjected to
taxation after annexation to pay the amount of money hereinafter
fixed to represent the value to the territory of municipal improve-
ments already paid for by city taxpayers.
2. That said unincorporated territory be and hereby is
designated as "LINCOLN ACRES ANNEXATION", and is described as
follows:
LINCOLN ACRES ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY
Beginning at the most Northerly corner of Lot 388 of Lincoln Acres
Annex No. 3, according to Map No. 1754, filed in the office of the
County Recorder, June 11, 1923; said corner being also a corner in
the boundary of Sweetwater Heights Annex, to the City of National
City; thence along the boundary of said annexation, the following
courses and distances:
1. South 04°20'00" East, 67.26 feet;
2. South 47°17'00" East, 73.66 feet;
3. South 26°01'00" West, 92.30 feet;
4. South 19°41'00" West, 83.52 feet;
5. South 54°51'00" Bast, 79.97 feet;
6. South 31°59'00" East, 66.67 feet;
7. South 12°37'00" Weat, 76.51 feet;
8. South 05°45'00" Best, 66.84 feet;
9. South 46°50'00" Bast, 228.57 feet;
10. South 25@36'00" West, 251.76 feet, to the most Southwesterly line
of Tract 600 of aaid Lincoln Acres Annex No. 3;
11. Thence along the Southwesterly line of said Tract 600, South 63°00'
gast, 106.48 feet to an angle point therein and South 47°30' East,
400.92 feet to the Northwesterly line of Tract G, of Lincoln Acres
Annex No. 4 according to Map No. 1763 filed in the Office of the
County Recorder of said County on August 9, 1923;
12. Thence South 70°57' West, 33.96 feet along said Northwesterly line
to the Northeasterly line of Lot 485 of said Lincoln Acres Annex No. 4;
13. Thence North 47°30' West to the Northwesterly line of the Southeasterly
10 feet of Lot 484 of said Lincoln Acres Annex No. 4;
14. Thence along said Northwesterly line of the Southeasterly 10 feet,
South 21°01' West to the Southwesterly line of said Lot 484;
15. Thence continuing South 21°t1'00" West, 50.00 feet, more or less, to
a point in the Northerly line of Lot 498 of said Lincoln Acres Annex
No. 4;
16. Thence Southeasterly along the Northeasterly line of said Lot 498, to
the most Easterly corner of said Lot;
17. Thence along the Northeasterly line of Lots 497, 496, and 495 of said
Lincoln Acres Annex No. 4, South 64°29'00" East, 141.26 feet to the

beginning of 300.00 feet radius curve, concave Southwesterly, in
said Northeasterly line of Lot 495:
18. Thence along the Northeasterly boundary of Lots 495 and 494 of said
Map No. 1763, Southeasterly along the arc of said curve, a distance
of 70.42 feet to the beginning of a compound curve, concave South—
westerly, having a radius of 30.51 feet;
19. Thence continuing along the Northeasterly boundary of said Lot 494,
Southeasterly along the arc of said curve a distance of 25.15 feet
to the beginning of a reverse curve, concave Northeasterly, having
a radius of 50.00 feet;
20. Thence continuing along said Northeasterly boundary of Lots 494 and
493 of said Map No. 1763, Southeasterly along the arc of said curve
a distance of 68.97 feet to the Northeasterly corner of Lot 493 of
said Lincoln Acres Annex No. 4;
21. Thence along the Easterly line of said Lot 493, South 07°10'00"

also the Northwesterly corner of Lot 539 of said Lincoln Acres
