HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 7905RESOLUTION NO. 7905 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA OPPOSING THE ADOPTION OF ASSEMBLY BILL 267 WHEREAS, there has been submitted in the Legislature of the State of California Assembly Bill 267; and WHEREAS, in the opinion of the City Council of the City of National City, the proposal to adopt said Assembly Bill 267 poses a threat to the integrity of local government in the State of California; and WHEREAS, the enactment of said Assembly Bill 267 would appear to be a backward step in government in this state. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA AS FOLLOWS: The City Council of the City of National City hereby goes on record as being opposed to the adoption of Assembly Bill 267 and urges that the Legislature of the State of California refuse to pass said proposal. The City Clerk be and hereby is authorized and directed to send copies of this resolution to the HONORABLE THOMAS M. REES, HONORABLE HUGO FISHER, HONORABLE SHERIDAN N. HEGLAND, HONORABLE FRANK LUCKEL, HONORABLE JAMES R. MILLS and HONORABLE JACK SCHRADE. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of April, 1961. ATTEST: CITY CLERK
