RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY,
CALIFORNIA OPPOSING PROPOSED CONSTITUTIONAL
AMENDMENT REGARDING DISPOSITION OF.TIDELANDS
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City Council
of the City of National City that it has been proposed that there
be submitted to the people of the State of California an Amendment
to the Constitution of the State by amending Section 3 of Article
XV relating to tidelands; and
WHEREAS, said proposed constitutional amendment would delete
the present prohibition contained in the present Constitution of
California withholding from grant or sale to pr&ovate persons,
partnerships or corporations, all tidelands within two miles of any
incorporated city or town in this State, and fronting on the water
of any harbor, estuary, bay, or inlet used for
navigation; and
WHEREAS,

in the best interests of the people of the State of California or
the residents of the City of National City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA AS FOLLOWS:
