HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 7911RESOLUTION NO. 7911 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA OPPOSING SPECIAL DISABILITY PRIVILEGES FOR FIREMEN AND POLICEMEN WHEREAS, Senate Bill 694 proposes to give policemen and firemen certain privileges not enjoyed by other municipal employees regarding disability retirement benefits; and WHEREAS, the granting of such special privileges does not appear to be in the best interests of the people of the State of California or the residents of the City of National City. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: The City Council of the City of National City hereby goes on record as being opposed to Senate Bill 694 and requests that the same be not adopted by the Legislature of the State of California. Be it further resolved that the City Clerk send copies of this resolution to HONORABLE JOHN W. HOLMDAHL, HONORABLE HUGO FISHER, HONORABLE SHERIDAN N. HEGLAND, HONORABLE FRANK LUCKEL, HONORABLE JAMES R. MILLS and HONORABLE JACK SCHRADE. PASSED AND ADOPTED this l th day of April, 1961. ATTkST: CITY CLERK
