HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 8015RESOLUTION NO, 8015 RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY OF UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HERELN AND DESIGNATED "EAGLES ANNEXATION," AND GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OF PROTESTS THERETO BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY: 1. That, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, a petition signed by owners of not less than one-fourth of the land in the hereinafter described territory by area and by assessed value, as shown on the last equalized assessment roll of the County of San Diego, has been filed with the City Council of the City of National City re- questing annexation of the hereinafter described territory to said City, 2. That the territory which the petitioners request be annexed to the City of National City and which said City and its Council propose to annex, is situated in the County of San Diego, State of California, is hereby design- ated "EAGLES ANNEXATION," and is described as follows: A Portion of Lot L. W. Kimball's Subdivision of Portion of Quarter Sections 98, 99, 110 and 111 of the Rancho de la Nacion, in the County of San Diego, State of California, according to Map thereof No. 63 filed in the Office of the Recorder May 11, 1885, and a portion of Quarter Section 100 of Rancho de la Nacion according to Map thereof No. 166 filed in the Office of the County Recorder of said San Diego, County, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the Southerly line of County Road Survey No. 1323, formed by the Northerly prolongation of the North South centerline of Lot 5 .of ' L. W. Kimball's Subdivision according to Map No. 63, said point being on the boundary of the City of National City. 1. Thence Southerly along the Northerly prolongation of the North South centerline of Lot 5 to a point in the Southerly line of Quarter Section 100. 2. Thence continuing Southerly along the North South centerline of said Lot 5 to the Easterly prolongation of the North line of lot 22 of Bonita Vista Unit No. 2 according to Map thereof No. 3236 filed in the Office of the County Recorder of said San Diego County May 25, 1955. -1- 1, ,i 7 / 6 7' 3. Thence South 710 53' WW.st feet to the Northwesterly corner of said Lot 22. 4. Thence North 55°20' West 242. 67 feet: 5. Thence North 8°25'30" West to a point in the Southerly line of County Road Survey No, 1323, said point being also in the boundary of the City of National City. 6. Thence Easterly along the Southerly line of County Road Survey No. 1323, and the boundary of the City of National City to the point of beginning. corrected October 9, 1961. 3.. That the County Boundary Commission of San Diego County, Calif- ornia, did consider the proposed annexation boundaries of said "EAGLES ANNEXATION," as above described, and as submitted to said Commission by the proponents of said annexation. 4„ That Tuesday, December 12, 1961, at the hour of 2:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of National City, County of San Diego, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where any person owning real property within the uninhabited territory above described and proposed to be annexed to the City of National City, and hav- ing any objections to the proposed annexation, may appear before the Council of the City of National City and show cause why such uninhabited territory should not be so annexed to the City of National City. The protest must be in writing, may be filed at any time before the hour set for hearing object- ions to the proposed annexation, and shall state the name or names of the owner or owners of property affected and the description and area of such property, in general terms. 5. The City Clerk of the City of National City is hereby authorized and directed to post a copy of this resolution in at least three conspicuous places within the territory, and to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at least twice, but not oftener than once a week, in the National City Star News and in The Independent, said publications to be complete at least twenty (20) -2- days before the first public_ hearing on the proposed annexation. 7. The City Clerk is further directed to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to the San Diego County Board of Super- visors and to the governing body of any county fire protection distract, which has any interest in any structural improvement located on any portion of said property, and to cause written notice to be given to such other persons as may be legally entitled thereto, in the manner required by law.
