HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 7869RESOLUTION NO. 86 RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY OF UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN AND DESIGNATED "RAMM'S SUBDIVISION," AND GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OF PROTESTS THERETO BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY: I. That, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, a petition signed by owners of not less than one-fourth of the land in the hereinafter described territory, by area and by assessed value as shown on the last equalized assessment roll of the County of San Diego, has been filed with the Council of the City of National City requesting annexation of the hereinafter described territory to said City. 2. That the territory which the petitioners request be annexed to the City of National City and which said City and its Council p-opose to annex, is situate in the County of San Diego, State of California, hereby designated "RAMM'S SUBDIVISION," and described as follows: I. Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 16, B.F. Pritchard's Paradise Villa, according to Map thereof No. 155 on file in the Recorder's Office of San Diego County, State of California; 2. Thence southerly along thevesterly line of said Lot 16 to the southwest corner thereof; 3. Thence easterly along the southerly line of said Lot 16 and continuing along the southerly line of Lot 15 of said Map No. 155 to the southeast corner of said Lot 15; 4. Thence northerly along the easterly line of said Lot 15 to the northeast corner thereof; 5. Thence westerly along the northerly line of said Lot 15 and said Lot 16 to the point of beginning. 3. That the County Boundary Commission of San Diego County, California, did consider the proposed annexation boundaries of said "RAMM'S SUBDIVISION," as above described, and as submitted to said Commission by the proponents of said annexation. 4. That Tuesday, March 28, 1961, at the hour of 2:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of National City, County of San Diego, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where any person owning real property within the uninhabited territory above described and proposed to be annexed to the City of National City, and having any objections to the proposed annexation, may appear before the Council of the City of National City and show cause why such uninhabited territory should not be so annexed to the City of National City. The protest must be in writing, may be filed at any time before the hour set for hearing objections to the proposed annexation, and shall state the name or names of the owner or owners of property affected and the description and area of such property, in general terms. 5. The City Clerk of the City of National City is hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at least twice, but not oftener than once a week, in The National City Star News, and also in The Independent, said publica- tion to be complete at least twenty (20) days prior to the date set for hearing. 6. The said City Clerk is further authorized and directed to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to each person to whom land within the territory proposed to be annexed was assessed in the last equalized county assessment roll available on the date the above said proceedings were initiated, at the addresses shown on said assessment roll or known to said Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and address and the designation of the lands in which he has an interest, either legal or equitable, with said Clerk, such notice to be given not less than twenty (20) days before the first public hearing on the pro- posed annexation. 7. The City Clerk is directed to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of San Diego County. 8. In the event there is, upon the land proposed to be annexed to said City, a structural improvement owned, being acquired or leased by a county fire protection district, the City Clerk is directed to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to the governing body of such district. 9. The City Clerk is directed to cause written notice to be given to such other persons as may be legally entitled thereto, in the manne- required by law.
