PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION OF LEGISLATIVE BODY
UNDER "SPECIAL ASSESSMENT INVESTIGATION, LIMI-
TATION AND MAJORITY PROTEST ACT OF 1931"
(Prospect Street Between Eighteenth
Street and Twenty Second Street)
The City Council of the City of National City does hereby
resolve as follows:
That certain improvements are proposed to be done and made
within the boundaries of the proposed assessment district herein-
after described in the City of National City, California. In
connection therewith said City Council hereby finds and determines
as follows:

The nature of the proposed improvements consists of
the grading of portions of streets, the construction of Type "G"
concrete curbs and gutters, the construction & standard concrete
gutters, the construction of concrete cross -gutters, the removal
of concrete curbs, and all trees and shrubbery within right of way
which will cause interference to construction.
(2) The location and extent of the proposed improvements
will involve the construction of the described improvements upon
the following -described public streets and public ways within the
boundaries of the proposed assessment district hereinafter des-
cribed, to wit: Prospect Street Between Eighteenth Street and
Twenty Second Street.
(3) The boundaries of the district of lands proposed to
be specially assessed to pay the costs and expenses of said pro-
posed work and improvement are as shown upon a map or plat on file
in the office of the City Clerk of the City of National City, which
said map indicates by a boundary line the territory to be included
in the proposed assessment district, and which said map or plat
governs for all details as to the extent of the district; said map
or plat is designated "MAP OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT DISTRICT FOR
THE IMPROVEMENT OF PROSPECT STREET FROM 18TH STREET TO 22nd STREET
AND PORTIONS OF INTERSECTIONS THEREOF, ALL IN THE CITY OF NATIONAL
CITY, CALIFORNIA.
(4) The City has budgeted the sum of $4,338.80 from its
funds for this project, and said sum represents 14.81% of the
estimated cost of said work. The City hereby agrees to pay a sum
equal to said 14.81% of the actual cost of said work, or the sum
of $4,338..80, whichever is the lesser, as a contribution towards the
cost of said work. The entire remaining cost of said proposed
improvements shall be assessed against the benefited property.
(5) The statute under which it is proposed to conduct
proceedings for the said work is the Improvement Act of 1911 of the
State of California, with Improvement Bonds to be issued as author-
ized under the provisions of said act.
(6) The proposed work to be done is described upon the
plans and specifications which are on file with the City Clerk of
the City of National City, and said plans and specifications are
hereby referred to for all particulars relative thereto and are
open to inspection by anyone interested.
