RESOLUTION CLOSING A PORTION OF 19th STREET BETWEEN
HOOVER AND ROOSEVELT AVENUES IN THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY
The City Council of the City of National City, California
does hereby resolve, determine and order as follows:
I. That pursuant to Ordinance No. 97.6 of the City of
National City, California a hearing was duly and regularly
held by the City Council of this City at 2:00 o'clock p.m. on the
22nd day of November, 1960, in the City Council Chambers in the
City Hall, National City, California regarding the closing and
vacating of those certain portions of the public streets in
City of National City hereinafter described.
2. That after hearing and considering evidence produced
at said hearing, the City Council does hereby find that the
portions if the public streets of the City of National City
hereinafter described are not now necessary for present or pros-
pective public street purposes, and that it is in the best
interests of the City of National City to close and vacate said
portions of its public streets and that all protests to said
closing and vacating, if any, be and hereby are overruled.
3. That pursuant to said finding and determination those
portions of the public streets of the City of National City,
California more particularly hereinafter described be and the
same are hereby vacated, subject to reservation of easements and
rights of way for structures enumerated in 8330 of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California. Said portions of
the public streets of the City of National City are more par-
ticularly described as follows:
That portion of 19th Street between Block 45 and
Block 46 and between the east line of Hoover Avenue
(2rd Avenue) and the west line of Roosevelt Avenue
(1st Avenue), all according to Map of National City
No. 348 on file in the Recorder's Office of San Diego
County, California, more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at the northwest corner of said Block 45;
Thence northeasterly in a straight line to a point on
the center line of said 19th Street, distant thereon
62.5 feet easterly of the easterly line of said Hoover
Avenue (2nd Avenue); thence easterly along said center
lie, a distance of 62.5 feet, more or less, to the
southerly prolongation of the easterly line of the alley
in said Block 46; thence northerly along said southerly
pro ongation 40 feet to the southwest corner of Lot 13
in said Block 46; thence easterly along the southerly line
of said Lot 13 a distance of 115 feet more or less, to the
westerly line of said Roosevelt Avenue (1st Avenue); thence
southerly along said westerly line a distance of 80 feet
to the northerly line of said Block 45; thence westerly
along said northerly line a distance of 250 feet, more or
less, to the point of beginning, AND ALSO the alley in
said Block 45.
4. That the City Clerk of the City of National City is
hereby authorized and directed to record in the office of the
Recorder of San Diego County, California a certified copy of this
Resolution duly attested under the seal of the City of National
City.

RESOLUTION NO. 11,773
VACATION OF NINETEENTH STREET FROM THE WESTERLY LINE
OF NATIONAL AVENUE TO THE EASTERLY LINE OF ROOSEVELT
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
National City, California, that Nineteenth Street from
the Westerly line of National Avenue to the Easterly line
of Roosevelt Avenue as more particularly referred to in
Resolution of Intention No. 11,686 is unnecessary for
present or prospective public street purposes.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the public interest,
convenience and necessity of said City requires the reserva-
tion of certain public easements.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Nineteenth Street
from the Westerly line of National Avenue to the Easterly
line of Roosevelt Avenue, as more particularly shown on Map
No. 681SC-D on file in the office of the City Clerk as
Document No. 55734 , which said map is attached hereto
and made a part hereof, be, and the same is hereby vacated.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of National
City reserves and excepts from the foregoing vacation the
permanent easement as more particularly described herein-
after:
Reserving and excepting to the City of National
City the right, easement and privilege of placing, constructing,
repairing, replacing, maintaining, using, and operating public
utilities of any kind or nature, including, but not limited
to sewer, water, and drainage, and all necessary and proper
fixtures and equipment for the use in connection therewith,
through, over, under, upon, along and across all the portions
or parts of the hereinafter described easement.
Also reserving and excepting from the vacation,
subject and subordinate to the aforementioned easement to
the City of National City, the permanent right at any time,
or from time to time, pursuant to any franchise or renewal
thereof, for and on behalf of the San Diego Gas & Electric
Company, the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company and
the California American Water Company, or any other utility
company operating under a municipal or state franchise with
the City of National City, to construct, maintain, operate,
replace, remove, and renew lines of pipe, conduits, cables,
wires, poles, and other related structures, including the
necessary use of equipment and fixtures for the operation
of gas pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone lines, and for
the transportation or distribution of electric energy, through,
over, under, upon, along and across all portions of the here-
inafter described easement:
The easements and rights hereinabove reserved and
excepted shall include the right of ingress thereto and
egress therefrom, together with the right to maintain the
said easement free and clear of any excavation or fills,
the erection or construction of any building or other struc-
tures, the planting of any tree or trees thereon, or the
drilling or digging of any well or wells thereon, together
with the right to otherwise protect from all hazards the
operation and use of any right hereby reserved. Upon written
permission of the City and of any public utility listed here-
tofore, the owners of the underlying fee may utilize the
above described parcel of land for structures, approved
plantings, the installation of privately owned pipelines,
and/or other approved usages.
The easement reserved herein is in, under, over,
upon, along and across that portion of Nineteenth Street
between the westerly line of National Avenue and the easterly
line of Roosevelt Avenue, vacated by this document and as
more particularly shown on Map No. 681SC-D on file in the
office of the City Clerk as Document No. 55734
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall
cause a certified copy of this resolution, attested by him
under seal, to be recorded in the office of the County
Recorder.
