PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION OF LEGISLATIVE BODY
UNDER "SPECIAL ASSESSMENT INVESTIGATION, LIMITA-
TION AND MAJORITY PROTEST ACT_OF 1931"
(28th Street Between National Avenue and "B" Avenue and
"B" Avenue Between 27th Street and 28th Street.)
The City Council of the City of National City does
hereby resolve as follows:
That certain improvements are proposed to be done and
made within the boundaries of the proposed assessment district
hereinafter described in the City of National City, California.
In connection therewith said City Council hereby finds and deter-
mines as follows:
(I) The nature of the proposed improvements consists of
the grading of portions of streets, the preparation of subgrade
and paving of portions of streets, the construction of Type G curb,
the construction of sidewalk, the construction of cross gutter, the
construction of driveways, the construction of Alley Apron and curbs
and the resetting of Manholes to grade.
(2) The location and extent of the proposed improvements
will involve the construction of the described improvements upon
the following -described public streets and public ways within the
boundaries of the proposed assessment district hereinafter des-
cribed, to wit: 28th Street between National Avenue and "B" Avenue
and "B" Avenue between 27th Street and 28th Street.
(3) The boundaries of the district of lands proposed to
be specially assessed to pay the costs and expenses of said proposed
work and improvement are as shown upon a map or plat on file in the
office of the City Clerk of the City of National City, which said
map indicates by a boundary line the territory to be included in
the proposed assessment district, and which said map or plat governs
for all details as to the extent of the district; said map or plat
is designated "MAP OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT DISTRICT FOR THE
IMPROVEMENT OF 28th STREET BETWEEN NATIONAL AVENUE AND B AVENUE;
B AVENUE BETWEEN 27th STREET AND 28th STREET; AND PORTIONS OF
INTERSECTIONS THEREOF."
(4) The City has budgeted the sum of $4,824.47 from
its funds for this project, and said sum represents 19.25% of the
estimated cost of said work. The city hereby agrees to pay a sum
equal to said 19.25% of the actual cost of said work, or the sum
of
4,824.47 , whichever is the lesser, as a contribution towards
the cost of said work. The entire remaining cost of said proposed
improvements shall be assessed against the benefited property.
(5) The statute under which it is proposed to conduct
proceedings for the said work is the Improvement Act of 1911 of
the State of California, with Improvement Bonds to be issued as
authorized under the provisions of said act.
(6) The proposed work to be done is described upon the
plans and specifications which are on file with the City Clerk of
the City of National City, and said plans and specifications are
hereby referred to for all particulars relative thereto and are
open to inspection by anyone interested
