HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 7643RESOLUTION NO. 7645 RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK (Tenth Street from Roosevelt Avenue to Coolidge Avenue) WHEREAS, on the 27th day of October, 1959, the City Council • of the City of National City, passed its Resolution of Intention No. 7625 to order certain work to be done and improvements to be made on Tenth Street from Roosevelt Avenue to Coolidge Avenue pur- suant to the provisions of the "Improvement Act of 1911,E and WHEREAS, said Resolution of Intention was duly published, and notice of its adoption was duly posted and mailed, all in the time, form and manner as required by law, and WHEREAS, this City Council has duly received and considered evidence oral and documentary concerning the jurisdictional facts in this proceeding and concerning the necessity for the contemplated work and improvement and the benefits to be derived therefrom, and said City Council has now acquired jurisdiction to order the proposed improvement. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of National City, California does hereby resolve, determine and order as follows: §I. That the public interest and convenience require the said improvement and the City Council hereby orders that the work and improvement, as set forth and described in said Resolution of Intention No. 7625 adopted on the 27th day of October, 1959 and in the plans and specifications therein referred to, be done and made, and that all protests against said work or improvement, if any, be and hereby are overruled. §2. That the boundaries of the assessmentdistrict, and the grades to which said work and improvements are to be constructed, shall be those set forth and described in said Resolution of Intention No. 7625, and in the plans and specifications therein referred to, reference to which is hereby made for all further particulars. §3. That the time hereby fixed for receiving sealed proposals or bids for the doing of said work and making of said improvements herein ordered is the I4th day of December, 1959, at the hour of 3:00 P.M., and the City Clerk of the City of National City is here- by ordered to give notice inviting such sealed bids in the time, form and manner provided by law. All proposals or bids shall be delivered to the City Clerk and shall be opened, and examined and declared by said City Clerk at a public meeting in the City Clerk's office in the City Hall of National City, California at the time and date aforesaid; and said City Clerk shall report the results of the bidding to the City Council at the next regular meeting after the opening of the bids.
