HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 7571RESOLUTION NO. 7571 RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO CITY OF NATIONAL CITY OF UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN AND DESIGNATED "HOBSON ANNEXATION," AND GIVING NOTICE OF TLME.AND PLACE FOR HEARING OF PROTESTS THERETO BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY: 1. That, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, a petition signed by owners of not less than one-fourth of the land in the hereinafter described territory, by area and by assessed value as shown on the last equalized assessment roll of the County of San Diego, has been filed with the Council of the City of National City requesting annexation of the hereinafter described territory to said City. 2. That the territory which the petitioners request be annexed to the City of National City and which said City and its Council propose to annex, is situate in the County of San Diego, State of California, hereby designated "HOBSON ANNEXATION," and described as follows: All that portion of Lot 422, Lincoln Acres Annexation No. 3, in the County of San Diego, State of California, according to Map thereof, No. 1754 filed in the Office of the County Recorder of San Diego County, June II, 1923, described as fol lows: (I) Commence at the Northeast corner of the North- west Quarter, Quarter Section 108, Rancho de la Nacion, being also the centerline of 24th Street and Granger Avenue as shown on Map No. 1754; thence Westerly along the centerline of 24th Street a distance of 175' to the true point of beginning. (2) Thence Southerly 18° 59' East a distance of 95' to the Southerly line of Lot 422 as shown on said Map No. 175L; (3) Thence Westerly along the Southerly line of said Lot 422 a distance of 106.18' to the Northeasterly Line of Right of Way Tract F; (4) Thence North 69° 43' West along said North- easterly line 100.58' to the Northwesterly corner of said Lot 422; (5) Thence North 18° 59' West a distance of 30' to the centerline of said 24th Street; (6) Thence Easterly along said centerline 185', more or less, to the true point of beginning. 3. That the County Boundary Commission of San Diego County, California, did consider the proposed annexation boundaries of said "HOBSON ANNEXATION," as above described, and as submitted to said Commission by the proponents of said annexation. 4. That September 22, 1959, at the hour of 2:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of National City, County of San Diego, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where any person owning real property within the uninhabited territory above described and proposed to be annexed to the City of National City, and having any objections to the proposed annexation, may appear before the Council of the City of National City and show cause why such uninhabited territory should not be so annexed to the City of I`:ational City. The protest must be in writing, may be filed at any time before the hour set for hearing objections to the pro- posed annexation, and shall state the name or names of the owner or owners of property affected and the description and area of such property, in general terms. 5. The City Clerk of the City of National City is hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at least twice, but not oftener than once a week, in The National City Star News, said publication to be complete at least twenty (20) days prior to the date set for hearing. 6. In the event there is, upon the land proposed to be annexed to said City, a structural improvement owned, being acquired or leased by a county fire protection district, the City Clerk is directed to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to the governing body of such district, such notice to be sent not less than ten (10) days before the first public hearing upon such proposed annexation. 7. The City Clerk is directed to cause written notice to be given to such other persons as may be legally entitled thereto, in the manner required by law.
