PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION OF LEGISLATIVE BODY
UNDER "SPECIAL ASSESSMENT INVESTIGATION,
LIMITATION AND MAJORITY PROTEST AOT.OF 1931"
(Tenth Street from Roosevelt Avenue to Coolidge Avenue)
The City Council of the City of National City does hereby
resolve as follows:
That certain improvements are proposed to be done and made
within the boundaries of the proposed assessment district herein-
after described in the City of National City, California. In
connection therewith said City Council hereby finds and determines
as follows:
(1) The nature of the proposed improvements consists of the
grading of portions of streets, the preparation of subgrade and the
placement of base material and asphalt concrete surfacing, the con-
struction of type "G" curbs, 18" concrete gutters, 4" P.C.O. side-
walks, concrete cross gutters and concrete driveway apron, the
removal of existing sidewalk and existing vertical curb and the
construction of vertical curbs.
(2) The location and extent of the proposed improvements will
involve tFe construction of the described improvements upon the
following -described public streets and public ways within the
boundaries of the proposed assessment district hereinafter described,
to wit: Tenth Street from Roosevelt Avenue to Coolidge Avenue.
(3) The boundaries of the district of lands proposed to be
specially assessed to pay the costs and expenses of said proposed
work and improvement are as shown upon a map or plat on file in the
office of the City Clerk of the City of National City, which said
map indicates by a boundary line the territory to be included in the
proposed assessment district, and which said map or plat governs for
all details as to the extent of the district; said map or plat is
designated "MAP OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT D I STR I CT FOR THE IMPROVEMENT
OF 10th STREET FROM COOLIDGE AVENUE TO ROOSEVELT AVENUE, ALL IN THE
CITY OF NATIONAL CITY".
(4) The City has allocated the sum of S4,629.06 from its funds
for this project, and said sum represents 31.90 of the estimated
cost of said work. The entire remaining cost of said proposed
improvements shall be assessed against the benefited property.
(5) The statute under which it is proposed to conduct pro-
ceedings for the said work is the Improvement Act of 1911 of the
State of California, with Improvement Bonds to be issued as
authorizes under the provisions of said act.
(6) The proposed work to be done is described upon the plans
and specifications which are on file with the City Clerk of the City
of National City, and said plans and specifications are hereby
referred to for all particulars relative thereto and are open to
inspection by anyone interested.
