RESOLUTION CLOSING TWENTY SIXTH STREET BETWEEN HIGHLAND
AND "F" AVENUES AND A PORTION OF "G" AVENUE
The City Council of the City of National City, California
does hereby resolve, determine and order as follows:
I. That pursuant to Ordinance No. 938 of the City of
National City, California a hearing was duly and regularly held
by the City Council of this City at 2:00 p.m. on the I3th day
of January, 1959 in the City Council Chambers in the City Hall,
National City, California regarding the closing and vacating of
Twenty-sixth Street between Highland and "F" Avenues and a
portion of "G" Avenue.
2. That after hearing and considering evidence produced
at said hearing, the City Council does hereby find that the
portion of the public streets of the City of National City here-
inafter described is not now necessary for present or prospective
public street purposes, and that it is in the best interest of
the City of National City to close and vacate said portion of
its public streets and that all protests to said closing and
vacating, if any, be and hereby are overruled.
3. That pursuant to said finding and determination that
portion of the public streets of the City of National City,
California more particularly described as follows:
26th Street from the east line of "F" Avenue (being
also a line 40 feet easterly of the west line of east
half of 10 Acre Lots 14 and 15, Quarter Section 152,
Rancho de la Nacion according to Map thereof No. 166
on file in the Recorder's Office of San Diego County,
California) to the westline of Highland Avenue (being
also a line 40 feet westerly of the east line of said
10 Acre Lots 14 and 15) and "G" Avenue 30 feet in width
from a line parallel to and 33 feet southerly of the
northerly line of aforesaid 10 Acre Lot 15 to the
southerly line of said 10 Acre Lot 15 (being also the
center line of aforesaid 26th Street)
be and the same is hereby vacated, subject to reservation of
easements and rights of way for structures enumerated in §8330
of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California.
4. That the City Clerk of the City of National City is
hereby authorized and directed to record in the office of the
Recorder of San Diego County, California a certified copy of
this Resolution duly attested under the seal of the City of
National City.
