HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 7435RESOLUTION NO. 7435 PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION OF LEGISLATIVE BODY UNDER 'SPECIAL ASSESSMENT INVESTIGATION, LIMITA- TION AND MAJORITY PROTEST ACT OF.I931" (Highland Avenue from 4th Street to 8th Street) The City Council of the City of National City does hereby resolve as follows: That made within hereinafter certain improvements are proposed to be done and the boundaries of the proposed assessment district described in the City of National City, California. In connection therewith said City Council hereby finds and determines as follows: (I) The nature of the proposed improvements consists of the grading of portions of streets, the preparation of subgrade and the paving of portions of streets, the construction of Standard Type "G" Curbs, the construction of Cross -Gutters, the construction of Standard Driveways, the construction of P.C.C. Sidewalks, the removal of Existing Curbs, the removal of Existing Sidewalks, the resetting of Manhole frames to Grade, the construction of P.C.C. Sidewalk Segments, and the removal Existing Pavement. (2) The location and extent of the proposed improvements will involve the construction of the described improvements upon the following -described public streets and public ways within the boundaries of the proposed assessment district hereinafter des- cribed, to wit: Highland Avenue from 4th Street to 8th Street. (3) The boundaries of the district of lands proposed to be specially assessed to pay the costs and expenses of said pro- posed work and improvement are as shown upon a map or plat on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of National City, which said map indicates by a boundary line the territory to be included in the proposed assessment district, and which said map or plat governs for all details as to the extent of the district; of said map or plat is designated "MAP OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT DISTRICT FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF HIGHLAND AVENUE BETWEEN FOURTH STREET AND EIGHTH STREET AND PORTIONS OF INTERSECTIONS THEREOF." (4) The City has allocated the sum of $19,723.12 from its funds for this project, and said sum represents 49 66% of the cost of said work. The entire remaining cost of said proposed improvements shall be assessed against the benefited property. (5) The statute under which it is proposed to conduct proceedings for the said work is the Improvement Act of 1911 of the State of California, with Improvement Bonds to be issued as authorized under the provisions of said act. (6) The proposed work to be done is described upon the plans and specifications which are on file with the City Clerk of the City of National City, and said plans and specifications are hereby referred to for all particulars relative thereto and are open to inspection by anyone interested.
