RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK
Third Street & J. Avenue
WHEREAS, on the 24th day of June, 1958, the City Council
of the City of National City, passed its Resolution of Intention
No. 7252 to order certain work to be done and improvements to be
made on Third Street from the centerline of Laurel Avenue to the
West line of "J" Avenue and on

Avenue from the north line
of Third Street to the centerline of Fourth Street, and
WHEREAS, said Resolution of Intention was duly published,
and notice of its adoption was duly posted and mailed, all in
the time, form and manner as required by law, and
WHEREAS, this City Council has duly received and considered
evidence oral and documentary concerning the jurisdictional facts
in this proceeding and concerning the necessity for the con-
templated work and improvement and the benefits to be derived
therefrom, and said City Council has now acquired jurisdiction
to order the proposed improvement.
NOJ, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of National
City, California does hereby resolve, determine and order as
follows:
§I. That the public interest and convenience require the
said improvement and the City Council hereby orders that the work
and imp,ovement,as set forth and described in said Resolution of
Intention No. 7252 adopted on the 24th day of June, 1958 and in
the plans and specifications therein referred to, be done and
made, aid that all protests against said work or improvement, if
any, be and hereby are overruled.
§2. That the boundaries of the assessment district, and the
grades to which said work and improvements are to be constructed,
shall be those set forth and described in said Resolution of
Intention No. 7252, and in the plans and specifications therein
referred to, reference to which is hereby made for all further
particulars.
§3. That the time hereby fixed for receiving sealed pro-
posals or bids for the doing of said work and making of said
improvements herein ordered is the iith day of August, 1958, at
the hou- of 3:00 P.M., and the City Clerk of the City of
National City is hereby ordered to give notice inviting such
sealed rids in the time, form and manner provided by law. All
proposals or bids shall be delivered to the City Clerk and shall
be openad, and examined and declared by said City Clerk at a
public meeting in the City Clerk's office in the City Hall of
National City, California at the time and date aforesaid; and
said Ci:;y Clerk shall report the results of the bidding to the
City Council at the next regular meeting after the opening of
the bids.
