HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 6872RESOLUTION NO. 6872 PRE.hIMINARY DETERMINATION OF LEGISLATIVE BODY UNDER "SPECIAL ASSESSMENT INVESTIGATION, LIMITATIO1 AND MAJORITY PROTEST ACT OF 1031" (Grove Street) The City Council of the City of National City does hereby resolve as follows: That certain improvements are proposed to be done and made within the boundaries of the proposed assess- ment district hereinafter described, within the City of National City, California. In connection therewith, said City Council hereby finds and determines as follows: to wit: 1. The nature of the proposed improvements eonsLLs of grading, preparation of subgrades, construction of curbs, sidewalks, cross -gutters, driveways, alley aprons, and the removal of existing sidewalks and trees. 2. The location and extent of the proposed inp ro- vements will involve the construction of the described improvements upon the following described public streets and public ways within the boundaries of the proposed assessment district hereinafter described, to wit: Grove Street from the centerline of 18th Street to the centerline of 22nd Street and 20th Street from the centerline of Grove Street to the centerline of Prospect Street. 3. The boundaries of the district of lands pro- posed to be expecially assessed to pay the costs and expenses of said proposed work and improvement are as shown upon a map or plat on file in the office of the City Clerk of the said City of National City, which said map indicates by a boundary line the territory to be included in the proposed assessment district, and which said map or plat governs for all details as to the extent of the district; said map or plat is designated "Map of Proposed Assessment District for the Improvement of Grove Street from l8th Street to 22nd Street and 20th Street from Grove Street to Prospect Street." 4. The City has allocated the sum of $5,098.99 from its funds for this project. The entire remaining cost of said proposed improvements shall be assessed against the benefited property. 5. The statute under which it is proposed to conduct proceedings for the improvement proceedings is the "Improvement Act of 1911" of the State of California, with Improvements Bonds to be issued as authorized under the provisions of said act. 6. The proposed work to be done is described upon the plans and specifications which are on file with the City Clerk of the City of National City, and said plans and specifications are hereby referred to for all particulars relative thereto and are open to inspection by anyone interested.
