HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 7110RESOLUTION NO. 7110 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY REGARDING THE PASSING OF MERIDETH L. CAMPBELL WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of National City has learned with sorrow of the untimely passing of MERIDETH L. CAMPBELL at the early age of 46 years on the first day of November, 1957, WHEREAS, MERIDETH L. CAMPBELL was born and lived in this area with the exception of the time spent in military service during World War I1, all of his life, WHEREAS, MERIDETH L. CAMPBELL was the City Attorney of the City of National City from December 17th 1935 to January 3rd, 1950, WHEREAS, during the above period MERIDETH L. CAMPBELL tendered valuable services to the City of National City and its residents, WHEREAS, since 1950 MERIDETH L. CAMPBELL did continue to maintain an interest in the affairs of the City of National City and to freely make available his time and services in promoting the welfare and public interest of the community of National City, WHEREAS, MERIDETH L. CAMPBELL leaves behind to grieve his untimely passing to the greater reward his loving wife, EDYTH CAMPBELL, two sons, MICHAEL CAMPBELL and GEORGE CAMPBELL and one daughter, Mrs. SHARON QUALLS, and a multitude of friends, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of National City as follows: That the members of the City Council of the City of National City express their profound regret and sorrow at the passing of MERIDETH L. CAMPBELL and extend their deepest sympathy to his widow and the members of his family, and That the City Clerk be and hereby is authorized and directed to send a copy of this resolution to Mrs. Edyth Campbell, Mrs. Sharon Qualls, and Mr. Michael Campbell and Mr. George Campbell. PASSED AND ADOPTED this fifth Bay of November, 1957. ATTEST CITY CLERK
