HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 6817RESOLUTION NO. 777 PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION OF LEGISLATIVE BODY UNDER "SPECIAL ASSESSMENT INVESTIGATION, IFfl - TATION AND MAJORITY PROTEST ACT OF 1931" (FOURTH STREET) The City Council of the City of National City does hereby resolve as follows: That certain improvements are proposed to be done and made within the boundaries of the proposed assessment district hereinafter described, within the City of National City, California. In connection therewith, said City Council hereby finds and determines as follows, to wit: 1. The nature of the proposed improvements consists the grading of portions of streets, the preparation of subgrade and the paving of portion of the streets, the construction of concrete driveways, the con- struction of vertical curbs, the construction of standard sidewalk, the construction of type "G" curb, the construction of cross gutters and the resetting of manhole rims. 2. The location and extent of the proposed improvements will involve the construction of the described improvements upon the following described public streets and public ways within the boundaries of the proposed assessment district hereinafter described, to wit: Harbison Avenue from the centerline of Fourth Street to the centerline of Sixth Street. 3. The boundaries of the district of lands proposed to be especially assessed to pay the costs and expenses of said proposed work and improvement are as shown upon a map or plat on file in the office of the City Clerk of the s&id City of National City, which said map indicates by a boundary line the territory to be included in the proposed assessment district, and which said map or plat governs for all details as to the extent of the district; said map or plat is designated "Map of Proposed Assessment District for the Improvement of Harbison Avenue from the Centerline of Fourth Street to the Centerline of Sixth Street." 4. The City has allocated the sum of $ 494.06 from its funds for this project. The entireremaining cost of said proposed improvements shall be assessed against the benefited property. 5. The statute under which it is proposed to conduct proceedings for the improvement proceedings is the "Improve- ment Act of 1911" of the State of California, with Improvements Bonds to be issued as authorized under the provisions of said act. 6. The proposed work to be done is described upon tne plans and specifications which are on file with the City Clerk of the City of National City, said plans and specifications are hereby referred to for all particulars relative thereto and are open to inspection by anyone interested.
