HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 6692RESOLUTION NO. 6692 YRELIMINARY DETERMINATION OF LEGISLATIVE BODY UNDER "SPECIAL ASSESSMENT INVESTIGATIGN LIMI- TATION AND MAJORITY PROTEST ACT OF 1931" ( HOOVER AVENUE ) BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of National City, California, that certain improvements are proposed to be done and made within the boundaries of the proposed assessment district hereinafter described, within the City of National City, County of San Diego, State of California. In connection therewith, said City CounWhereby finds and determines as follows, to wit: 1. The nature of the proposed improvements consists of grading and paving and installing curbs as necessary, gutters, cross gutters and necessary miscellaneous items upon the streets or public ways hereinafter described within the said City of National City. 2. The location and extent of the proposed improvements will involve the construction of the described improvements upon the following described public streets and public ways within the boundaries of the proposed assessment district hereinafter described, to wit: "Hoover Avenue between the centerline of Eighth Street and the centerlihe of Thirteenth Street". 3. The boundaries of the d istrict of lands proposed to be especially assessed tp pay the costs and expenses of said proposed work and improvement are as shown upon a map or plat on file in the office of the City Clerk of the said City of National City, whiehs aid map indicates by a boundary line the territory to be in- cluded in the proposed assessment district, and which said map or plat governs for all details as to the extent of the district; said map or plat is designated "Map of Proposed Assessment District for the Improvement of Hoover Avenue between the centerline of Eighth Street and the centerline of Thirteenth Street, in the City of National City, County of San Diego, State of California." 4. The City of National City has allocated the sum of $2,383.57 to be paid toward the costs of such improvements. One hundred percent of the remaining costs of said proposed improvements is to be assessed against benefited property. 5. The statute under which it is proposed to conduct proceedings for the improvement proceedings is the "Improvement Act of 1911" of the State of California with Improvement Bonds to be issued as authorized under the provisions of said act. 6. The proposed work to be done is described upon the plans and specifications which are on file with the City Clerk of the City of National City, and said plans and specifications are hereby referred to for all particulars relative thereto and are open t o inspection by anyone interested.
