HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 6694REST1r,u1'ION No. 6694 PR"{:",INiINARY DETERMINATION OF LEGISLATIVE BODY UNDER "SPECIAL ASSESSMENT INVESTIGATION, LIMI- TATION AND MAJORITY PROTEST ACT OF 1931" ( I AVENUE ) BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of National City, California, that certain improvements are proposed to be d one and made within the boundaries of the proposed assess- ment district hereinafter described, within the City of National City, County of San Diego, State of California. In connection therewith, said City Council hereby f Inds and determines as follows, to wit: 1. The nature of the proposed improvements consists of grading,paving, removing existing curbs, installing alley curbs, and type "G" curbs and cross- gutters, resetting manhole rims upon the streets or public ways hereinafter described within the said City of National City. 2. The location and extent of the proposed improvements will involve the construction of the described improvements upon the following described public streets and public ways within the boundaries of the proposed assessment district hereinafter described, to wit: "I" Avenue from the center line of Twenty-first Street to the centerline of Twenty-fourth Street; Twenty -Second Street from the center line of Highland Avenue to the center line of "I" Avenue; and Twenty-third Street from the center line of Highland Avenue to the Center line of "I" Avenue. 3. The boundaries of the district of lands proposed to be especially assessed to pay the costs and expenses of said pro- posed work and improvement are shown upon a map or plat on file in the office of the City Clerk of thesaid City of National City, which said map indicates by a boundary line the territory to be included in the proposed assessment district, and which said map or plat governs for all details as to the extent of the district; said map or plat is designated "Map of Proposed Assessment District for the Improvement of "I" Avenue between the center line of Twenty-first Street and the center line of Twenty-fourth Street and of Twenty-second Street and Twenty-third Street between the center line of Highland Avenue and the Center line of "I" Avenue, in the City of National City, County of San Diego, State of California.". 4. The City of National City has allocated the sum of 721.89 to pay for the entire cost of the removal of existing curbs, the resetting of manhole rims and the installation of type "G" curbs and cross -gutters. One hundred percent of the remaining cost of said proposed improvements is to be assessed against benefited property. 5. The statute under which it is proposed to conduct proceedings for the improvement proceedings is the "Improvement Act of 1911" of the State of California with Improvement Bonds to be issed as authorized under the provisions of said act. 6. The proposed Work to be done is described upon ,the plans and specifications which are on file with the City Clerk of the City of National City, and said plans and specifications are hereby referred to for all particulars relative thereto and are open to inspection by anyone interested.
