HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 6707RESOLUTION NO. _.6707 RESOLUTION DETERMINING INITIAL VIEW OF LEGIS- LATIVE BODY THAT THE PROVISIONS OF DIVISION 4 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE WILL NOT BE VIOLATED (EIGHTEENTH STRE T) WHEREAS, on the 2lst day of August, 1956, the City Council of the City of National City, California adopted its Resolution No. 6706 , entitled "Preliminary Determination of Legislative Body Under "Special Assessment Investigation, Limita- tion and Majority Protest Act of 1931" (l8th Street) in accor- dance with Sections 2820, 2821, 2822 and 2823 of said Act; NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED and determined by the Cit; Council of the City of National City that after taking the steps provided by said Sections 2820, 2821, 2822 and 2823 of said Act hereinabove referred to, that it is the initial view of this legislative body that the contemplated improvement described in said Resolution No. 6706 above referred to is one in which the probable assessments will not exceed the limitation set up in Division 4 of the Streets and Highways Code and otherwise known as the "Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931"; That the City Clerk of National City is hereby directed and ordered to give notice of the contemplated action of this City Council by mailing prepaid post cards giving notice of the finding and proposed action of the City Council. Said card shall be mailed to each person to whom land in the proposed assessment dis- trict is assessed on the last equalized county assessment roll available on the date the notices commence, at his or her address as shown upon such roll, and to any person whether owner in fee or having a lien upon, or legal or equitable interest in, any land within the proposed district who has filed with the Clerk his or her name and address and a designation of the land in which 1 he or she is interested. Said notice shall be in the form pro- vided by Fart 7 of Division 4 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, otherwise known as the "Special Assessment Investigation, Limitat:'on and hajority Protest Act of 1931". PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2f day of MAYOR
