WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 6450, a hearing
was held on this 16th day of August, 1955, regarding the
proposed "Improvement of SEVENTH STREET from the centerline of
calm Avenue to the Westerly line of the Southeast Quarter of
40 Acre Lot 2 in Quarter Section 131 of Rancho de la Nacion
according to Map No. 166", and
WHEREAS, at the time of said hearing the owners of
more than fifty per cent (500) of the area in said improvement
district protested the proposed improvement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of National City, as follows:
That the protests against the proposed "Improvement
of SEVENTH STREET from the centerline of Palm Avenue
to the Westerly line of the Southeast Quarter of
40 Acre Lot 2 in Quarter Section 131 of Rancho de
la Nacion according to Map No. 166" are hereby
sustained and that the proceedings heretofore
taken for said improvement be, and they are hereby,
abandoned; and
That, pursuant to Division 7, eart 3,
Chapter 8, Section 5222 of the Streets and Highways
Code of California, no further proceedings shall
be taken under the "Improvement Act of 1911" for
a period of one year from this date.
