BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
National City, California, as follows:
Byrl D. Phelps is hereby appointed Engineer of Work
for the proposed doing of all necessary engineering work a.nd ex-
ercising all of the functions provided for the office of Engineer of
Work and Superintendent of Streets in the ''Improvement Act of
1911°in connection with the improvement work in the construction
of concrete sidewalks, curbs, storm drains and street pavements
known, and to be known, as the improvement of Harbison Avenue
between Division a.nd Fourth Avenues;
Byrl D. Phelps shall act as Engineer of Work and
Superintendent of Streets and is hereby employed and appointed
to furnish all surveys, original dra.wings, maps and blue prints,
including any and a.11 such maps necessary and incident to the rights
of way contemplated in the improvement work herein involved; all
plans and specifications, all inspection work, preparation of
assessment rolls, assessment diagram and warrant and any and
all other services which shall be required from the Engineer of Work
under the provisions of the "Improvement Act of 191.1 "; and
That for such services the said Byrl D. Phelps shall
receive for and as his compensation the sums of money heretofore
provided by that certain written agreement between the City of
National City and the said Byrl D. Phelps.
