RESOLUTION OF INTENTION WHEREAS, the property herein described, designated, as a certain portion of tidelands a.nd Sa.n Diego Bay, is uninhabited and adjacent to the corporate limits of the City of National City, California.; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds it to be in the public interest and for the common benefit that said property, designated a.s a. certain portion of tidelands and San Diego Bay, be annexed to said City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of National City, California, that pursuant to Section No. 35310 of the Government Code of the State of Calif- ornia., the City Council of the City of National City, hereby initiates proceedings to annex to the City of National City the follow- ing property designated as a. certain portion of tidelands and San Diego Bay, located in the County of Sa.n Diego, State of California., a.nd bounded and described as follows: Commencing at a point on the southerly boundary of the City of National City, as it existed on Sept- ember 10, 1887, at the intersection of the said boundary with the ordinary high water mark of San Diego Bay as said line is delineated on Misc- ellaneous Map No. 185, Records of San Diego County, and running thence along said ordinary high water mark S 31° 10' E to station 54; thence N 77° 20' E., 251.04 ft. to station 55: thence 41° 01' 29" E., 493.67 ft. to station 56; thence S 40° 52' E., 261.31 ft. to station 57; thence S 26° 56' E., 695.43 ft. to station 58; thence S 9° 46' W., 266.97 ft. to a point on the common boundary between the City of Chula Vista and the City of National City; thence S 71° 43' 29" W., 2636. 31 ft. to an intersection with a straight line joining United Sta.tes Harbor Line Stations for San Diego Bay Nos. 303 and 495; thence out into San Diego Bay S 81° 57' 41" W. a distance of 2375 ft. more or less; thence N 8° 00' 00" W. to an inter- section with a straight line drawn between points A and B, said points being described as follows: Point A:. The South-westerly corner of the City of San Diego as it existed on September 10, 1887. Point B: The intersection of the southerly line of the City of National City, a.s it existed on September 10, 1887, and the westerly line of the ship's channel as it existed on September 10, 1887. Thence south-easterly along said line drawn be- tween points A and B, described above, to point B; thence north-ea.sterly along the southerly line of the City of National City, as it existed on Sept- ember 10, 1887, to the point of beginning. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the time and place the City Council will hear protests made by any person owning real property within the aforesaid terrory shall at o'clock ° . That the City Council of said City does hereby declare that it ha.s initiated proceedings to annex said territory on its own motion without requiring a. petition. That the said proceedings ha.ve been initiated by said City Council for the following reasons: That the boundaries of various municipalities in the Ba.y of Sa.n Diego are uncertain and it is desirable tha.t these uncertainties be resolved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is here- by directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at least once a week for two weeks prior to the aforesaid hearing in the National City News, a newspaper of general circulation pub- lished in said City.
