HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 6288RESOLUTION NO. 6288 RESOLUTION DETERMINING INITIAL VIEW OF THE LEGISLATIVE BODY THAT THE PROVIS- IONS OF DIVISION FOUR OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE WILL NOT BE VIOLATED. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of National City, California, as follows: WHEREAS, on the 3 day of November, 1954, the said Council of the City of National City, California, adopted its Resolution No. 2P Z entitled "PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION OF LEGISLATIVE BODY UNDER A SPECIAL ASSESSMENT INVEST- IGATION, LIMITATION AND MAJORITY PROTEST ACT OF 1931" in accordance with Sections 2820, 2821, 2822 and 2823 of said Act; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED and determined that after taking the steps provided by said Sections 2820, 2821, 2822 and 2823 of said Act hereinabove referred to, it is the initial view of this legislative body that the contemplated improvement described in said Resolution No. 1,4{} above referred to is one in which the probable assessments will not exceed the limitations set up in Division Four of the Streets and Highways Code and otherwise known as the "Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931"; �. The Clerk of the City of National City, California, is hereby directed and ordered to give notice of the contemplated action of this said Council by mailing prepaid postcards giving notice of the find- ings and proposed action of the City Council. Said cards shall be mailed to each person to whom land in the proposed assessment district is assessed on the last equalized County Assessment Roll available on the date the notice commences, and his or her address as shown upon such Roll and to any person, whether owner in fee or having a lien upon or legal or equitable interest in, any land within the proposed district who has filed with the Clerk his or her name and address and a desig- nation of the land in which he or she is interested. Said notice shall be in the form provided by Part 7 of Division 4 of the Streets and Highways Act of the State of California, otherwise known as the Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931.
