ADOPTED BY THE COUNCIL
SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT
THIS SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT entered into this
day of March, 1952, by and between the NATIONAL
CITY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, an Association, herein designated
as Advertiser, and the CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, a municipal
corporation in the County of San Diego, State of California,
hereinafter designated as City;
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, said City and said Advertiser have hereto-
fore entered into an agreement dated October 16, 1951; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the parties to supple-
ment said agreement; and
WHEREAS, it has been found by the said City that a
May Time Band Review will furnish music and will promote the
general welfare of said City and will make known the resources
and enterprises of the City for the purpose of inducing immigra-
tion to, and increasing the trade and commerce of, said City
and for the other purposes set forth in Paragraph 1 of the
said agreement dated October 16, 1951, and the City Council
does further find and does hereby deem that the expenditure
of the sum of TWO THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($2,300.00)
(in addition to any portion of the $1,200.00 set forth in the
said original agreement) is proper for the purposes herein -
above set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS MUTUALLY AGREED AS FOLLOWS:
1. That that certain agreement dated October 16,
1951, between the parties hereto is hereby supplemented by
the following paragraphs.
2. -That the term of this supplement shall expire
on June 30th, 1952, unless sooner terminated by the giving,
one to the other, of thirty days' written notice of intention
to so terminate.
3. That the total additional obligation hereby
incurred by the City shall not exceed the additional total
sum of TWO THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($2,300.00).
4. That said sum shall be used for no purpose
other than expenses incident to the 1952 May Time Band Review.
5. That all terms and conditions of the aforementioned
original agreement, dated October 16, 1951, and not inconsistent
herewith, are hereby ratified and reaffirmed.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF said City has caused this Supple-
mental Agreement to be executed by its Mayor and attested by
its City Clerk, and Advertiser has caused said agreement to be
executed by its President and its Secretary, thereto duly
authorized, and its corporate seal affixed, the day and year
in this instrument first written.
