RESOLUTION OF INTENTION
WHEREAS, the property herein described, designated, as
Rancho Mesa is uninhabited and is adjacent to the corporate limits
of the City of National City, California; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it to be in the public in—
terest and for the common benefit that said area be annexed to
said City, for the purpose of providing continuous sewer, water
and road access to an area to be developed for defense housing.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the
City of National City, California, that pursuant to Section No.
35310 of the Government Code of the State of California, the City
Council of the City of National City, hereby initiates proceedings
to annex to the City of National City the following property des—
ignated as "Rancho Mesa" located in the County of San Diego, State
of California, and bounded and described as follows:
TRACT 600 of Lincoln Acres Annex No. 3 according
to Map thereof No. 1754; Tract 602 of Lincoln Acres
Annex No. 4, according to Map thereof No. 1763; Blocks
54, 55, 56 and portion of 52 of Paradise Hills Unit No.
3, according to Map thereof No. 2101 and portion of the
Northeasterly 1/4 of 4 Section 100, portion of South—
easterly 4 of ! Section 101, southerly one half of 4
Section 82, all of y Sections 75 and 76 of Rancho de
la Nacion, according to Map thereof No. 166, all on
file in the Office of the Recorder'of San Diego County,
California, being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the northwesterly corner of said
Tract 600 of Lincoln Acres Annex No. 3, being a point
on the southerly boundary line of the City of National
City; thence southerly along the westerly line of said
Tract 600 to the most southerly corner of Lot 397 of
said Lincoln Acres Annex No. 3; thence southeasterly
along the southwesterly line of said tract 600 and con—
tinuing southeasterly along the southwesterly line of
said Tract 602 of Lincoln Acres Annex No. 4 to the
easterly line of said Lincoln Acres Annex No. 4, being
a point on the westerly line of said Paradise Hills
Unit No. 3; thence southerly along said westerly line
of Paradise Hills Unit No. 3 to the northerly line of
that certain County Road known as Road Survey No. 620,
according to the Plat on file in the Office of the
County Surveyor of San Diego; thence easterly along
Ind
said northerly line of Road Survey No. 620 to the north-
westerly line of that certain County Road known as Road
Survey No. 643, according to the Plat on file in said
County Surveyor's Office; thence northeasterly along
said northerly line of Road Survey No. 643 to the east—
erly line of y Section 100; thence northerly along said
easterly line of I Section 100 to the southwesterly
corner of said 4 Section 82; thence easterly along the
southerly line of said 4 Section 82 and continuing east—
erly along the southerly line of y Section 75 to the
southeasterly corner thereof; thence northerly along
the easterly line of said `�'4 Sections 75 and 76 to the
northeasterly corner of said '14 Section 76, being a
point on the boundary line of the City of San Diego;thence
westerly along said boundary line of the City of San
Diego, to the northwesterly corner of said y Section 76;
thence southerly, westerly, southerly, southwesterly
and northwesterly along said boundary line of the City
of San Diego to the most easterly corner of Block 53
of said Paradise Hills Unit No. 3; thence southerly
along the southeasterly line of said Block 53, being
along said City of San Diego boundary line, to the most
southerly corner of Lot 16 of said Block 53; thence
westerly and northwesterly along said City of San Diego
boundary line to the most southerly corner of Lot 66
of Block 52 in said Paradise Hills Unit No. 3; thence
northeasterly, northwesterly, northeasterly, northwest—
erly, southwesterly, westerly, and northwesterly along
said City of San Diego boundary line to the most north—
westerly corner of Lot 65 of said Block 52; thence
northerly along said City of San Diego boundary line to
the most northeasterly corner of said Tract 600 of
Lincoln Acres Annex No. 3; thence westerly along the
northerly line of said Tract 600, being along said
boundary line of the City of National City, to the point
of beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the time and place the City Coun—
cil will hear protests made by any person owning real property
within the aforesaid territory shall be at 8 o'clock P.M., Febru—
ary 27, 1951,. at the Council Chambers in the City Hall, National
City, California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed
to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at least once
a week for the two weeks prior to the aforesaid hearing in the
National City News, a newspaper of general circulation published
in said City.
