Charles a . Vansant, City Treasurer
City of National City
National City, California
Dear Mr. Vansant:
The National School District acquired title to
the following described real property last summer
for use as a school site:
The Easterly half of the Southwesterly Quarter
of the Forty Acre Lot Two in Quarter Section
One Hundred Thirty -Two of Rancho de la Nacion,
According to Map thereof by Morrill No. 166,
filed in the office of the County Recorder of
San Diego County, May 11, 1869.
So that you may have the exact dates of the trans-
action to use in determining; the time when it became
school property I am furnishing you the following
information:
The real property was placed in escrow on April
21, 1948. Since there are a number of legal techni-
calities which must be followed in acquiring a school
site the transaction was delayed and the deed was not
recorded until July 26, 1948.
Very sincerely yours,
JHR-d District Superintendent
James H. Rusk
