WHFRFAS, a written petition signed by S. M. Mann was
filed with the City Council requesting that the following
described property be annexed to the City of National City;
The S/W 1/4 of Lot 65 Ex Mission Lands, Approx. 10 ac.
The S/E. 1/4 of Lot 64 Ex Mission Lands, " 10 ae.
The S/W 1/4 of Lot 64 Ex Mission Lands, " 10 ac.
Part of Lot 72 Ex Mission Lands, beginning at the
S/w Corner of said Lot 72 and running North along
the west line thereof to theN/W Corner thereof;
thence East 660 ft.; thence South to the line of
Rancho de la Naeion Line; thence Southwesterly to
the point of beginning.
Map No. 283 filed March 9, 1878.
AND WHEREAS, petition of Harold E. Hawn has been re-
ceived by the City of National City, requesting that the
following described property be annexed to the City of
National City:
The North 459 ft. of that portion of Lot Sixty-four
in the Ex Mission Lands of San Diego, known as
Horton's Purchase according to Map .thereof No. 283,
filed in the office of the County Recorder of said
San Diego County March 9, 1878, described as fellows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of said
Lot Sixty-four; thence running North along
the East line of said Lot Sixty-four, 52
rods; thence West on a line parallel with
the South line of said Lot Sixty-four, 40
rods to a point; thence at right angles. South
to the Northerly line of the National Rancho,
said point being also in the Southerly line
of Fractional Lot Seventy-two; thence North-
easterly along the said Northerly line of.
National Rancho to the point of beginning.
AND WHEREAS, said petition of Harold E. Hawn states
that he is the owner of said land; that said land is vacant
and uninhabited;
AND WHEREAS, both parcels heretofore described are eon
tiguous to the City of National City;
AND WHEREAS, the City Council has investigated aforesaid
described property and ascertained that the. same is now
vacant and uninhabited;

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby resolve
to annex the aforesaid parcel of land and, in accordance with
the boundaries hereinafter described, designates the said
territory as:
ANNEX NO, 1
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 65, in the
Ex -Mission Lands of San Diego, Known as Horton's
Purchase according to Map No 283 filed in the office
of the County Recorder of San Diego County, California
and dated March 9, 1878; thence Northerly along the West
line of said Lot 65 to an intersection with the East -
West Centerline of said Lot 65; thence Easterly along
said Centerline of Lot 65 and continuing to the Center
of Lot 64 of said Hortons Purchase; said point being
also on the West line of the North 459 feet of that
portion of said Lot 64 described elsewhere; thence
Northerly along the North - South Centerline of Lot 64
to an intersection with the North line of said above -
mentioned North 459 feet of said Lot 64; thence Easterly
along the Northerly line of said North 459 feet to the
East line of said Lot 64; thence Southerly to the South
line of said North 459 feet; thence Westerly along the
South line of said North 459 feet to the North - South
Centerline of Lot 64; thence Southerly along the North -
South Centerline of said Lot 64 and running through Lot
72 to the Northerly line of the National Rancho; thence
Southwesterly along the Northerly line of said National
Rancho to the intersection with that line common to the
West line of said Lot 72 and the East line of Millertown
Subdivision according to Ma.p 1608 on file in the office
of the County Recorder, San Diego County, Calif,; thence
Northerly along said line to the Southerly line of said
Lots 64 & 65 which point is a common corner to said Lots
64, 65, & 72 and said Millertwon Subdivision; thence
Westerly along the Southerly line of said Lot 65, said
line being also the Northerly line of said Millertown
Subd, to the point or place of beginning,
Description of the abovementioned North 459 feet of that por-
tion of Lots 64 & 72:

Mission Lands of San Diego, known as Horton's Purchase

The City Council further designates thatgqa hearing
shall be held at i:OO o'clock P,2„ on the IBth day of
t, 1946, in the Council chambers, City Hall, City of
National City, at which time and place any person owning
real property within such territory heretofore proposed
to be annexed and having any objections to the proposed
annexation may appear before the City Council of the City
of National City and show cause, if any, why such
territory should not be so annexed,
