HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 4145RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK N0. 4.14S RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Nat- ional City, California, that the public interest and conven- ience require the work hereinafter described to be done, and, HEREAS, the said City Council did on the 16th day of July , 1946, pass its Resolution of Intention N0.4104 to order said work to be done and improvement to be made in said City which Resolution of Intention was duly pub- lished as required by law, as appears from the affidavit of publicatioin now on file in the office of the Clerk of said City; and WHEREAS, notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention No.4104 headed "Notice of Improvement" were duly and legally posted along the line of said contemplated work and improvement and in front of all the property liable to be assessed therefor, and on and along each and every open street and highway in the assessment district described in said Resolution of Intention, in time, form, manner and number as required by law, after the passage of said Resolution of Intention, as appears from the affidavit of carat E.a1a, City Engineer who personally posted the same, and who, upon the completion of the posting of said notices, forthwith filed said affidavit in the office of the City Clerk making oath that he completed posting of said notices on the 25th day of Mav , 1946, and WHEREAS, no protests or objections have been pre- sented in the time, form and manner as required by law, and page One said City Council now having acquired jurisdiction to order the proposed improvement, therefore the said City Council hereby orders the following work to be done and improvement to be made in said City, to wit: The installation of a lighting system, together with conduits, cables, foundations, lighting standards and all other appliances and apputtenanoes necessary for lighting by electricity, on National Avenue from the northerly line of 5th Street to the southerly line of lst Street and on Main Street from the westerly line of Natiohal Avenue to the southerly line of Division Street, all in the City of National city, California, all as more fully described in said Resolution of Intention. The said Council determined that serial bonds ex- tending over a period ending nine years from the second day of January next succeeding the fifteenth day of the next October following their date, bearing interest at the rate of six per cent (6%) per annum, shall be issued to represent assessments of twenty five dollars or more for the expenses of saidwork and improvement, as provided by the Improvement Act of 1911 and amendments thereto. page Two For further particulars, reference is hereby made 'to said Resolution of Intention. The City Clerk of said Uity is hereby directed to post conspicuously for five (5) days, on or near the Council chamber door of said Council, in the manner and form required by law, a notice, with specifications, together with a copy of the prevailing wage adopted by Resolution No. 4103 adopted on the 21st day of July , 1946, all of which is more particularly set forth in the Resolution of intention, inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing the work ordered; and said Clerk is hereby directed to publish twice in the National City News , aweekly newspaper published and circulat- ed in said City, and hereby designated for that purpose by said Council, a notice inviting such proposals for doing the said work, and referring to the specifications and prevailing wage schedule posted or on file.
