F` r r_5 a Special Election was held in the City of National City, California on the 26th day of February 1946, pursuant to Ordinance. Number 715, duly= passed and adopted by the City Council of said City by warrant of a two-thirds (2/3) vote on the 22nd day of January 1946, entit led: "An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of National City, California, ordering, calling, providing for and giving notice of a special election to be held in the City of National City on the 26th day of February 1946, for the pur- pose of submitting to the qualified voters of said City a proposition to incur bonded indebted- ness by said City for a certain municipal improve- ment." AND r ri'; fS, the said Special Election was held in the City on said yT nv_ at said election the proposition mentioned in said Ordinance was voted on; and rnlla .};C, the lection 3oards of aforesaid election have reported the results thereof to this City Council and the returns Hr ould be canvassed by the said City Council on the first `,Tuesday E :...ant to said election; said City C 1 of a �,«��ci v regular meet- ing held on Tuesday, the 5th day of March '» 6, at the hour of 7:30 P.T. of said day, publicly opened, examined and canvassed, and the votes for and against the said proposition have been duly estimated and the results thereof determined and established. :i; , the City Council of the City of _National City, C.lis or fia, hereby resolves, that the result of said election is, and is hereby declared to be is follows the whole number of votes cast at said election was 1212 on the proposition Wrich reads as follows: -1- "Shall the City of National City incur a bonded in- debtedness in the principal sum of 375,000.0.0 for the purpose of the acquisition and construction by said City of a certain municipal improvement to wit: she ac?ui sit ion and construction of a trunk sewer system in said city including the acquisition of all equipment, easements and other property necessary or conveni en the refor ?" That all of said votes were valid and legal votes, of which there were cast in favor of the proposition submitted at said election 1104 votes; and against the proposition sub- mitted at such election 108 votes. That the votes cast in favor of the proposition constitut- ed more than two-thirds (2/3) of the votes of all voters voting at such special election.' :'hat 77 votes were cast in favor of the proposition submitted at said election; and 16 votes against the pro- position submitted at such election in consolidated_ voting precinct "A". ghat 161 votes Were cast in favor of the proposition submitted at said election; and 29 votes against the proposition submitted at such election in consolidated voting precinct "3". ghat '166 votes were cast in favor of the proposition submitted at said election; and ,14 votes against the proposition submitted at such election in consolidated voting precinct "0". That 216 vbtes were cast in favor of the proposition submitted at said election;. and ' 11 votes against the proposition submitted at such election in consolidated voting precinct "D". That 90 votes were cast in favor of the proposition submitted at said election; and 13; votes against the proposition submitted at such election in consolidated voting precinct "L'". -2- what 223 .votes were cast in favor of the proposition submitted at said election; and 11 votes against the proposition submitted at such election in consolidated voting precinct "'". 'That 170 votes were cast in favor of the proposition. submitted at said election; and 14, votes against the proposition submitted at such election in consolidated voting precinct "G". The whole number of votes cast by absentee ballot at said election was 1 • That 1 votes were cast in favor of the proposition submitted at said election, by absentee ballot; and 0. votes against the proposition submitted at such election, by absentee ballot. NOW, TH REZ'O E, the City Council of the City of National vity, California, does hereby declare that the proposition sub - :pitted at such election, as hereinbefoie more specifically set out, was carried by more than two-thirds (2/3) of the votes of all the voters voting at such special election, .and as provided by law.
