RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO CLOSE A PORTIOPd Or TWENTY-
FOURTH STREET, IN THE CITY O NATIONAL CIlY, CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, in the judgment of the Board of Trustees
of the city of National City, a municipal corporation in the
county of San Diegoand state of California, the public in-
terest and convenience requires the closing up of all that
portion of Twenty-fourth street in said city of National City,
bounded and d.escrihed as follows, to -wit:
Commencing at the point of intersection of the east-
erly line of eighth Avenue with the northerly line of said
Twenty-fourth street,thebnce in an easterly direction, follow-
ing the northerly line of said Twenty-fourth street, to the
point of intersection of said northerly line of said Twenty-
fourth street with the 97P,SEP,Tly' Zi nP, of Sixth' Alfriluei °
southerly, across said Twenty-fourth street, to. the point of
intersection of said westerly line of said Sixth Avenue with
the southerly line of said Twenty4ourth street, thence in a
westerly direction, following the southerly line of said Twenty-
fourth street, to the ,point of intersection of said southerly
line of said Twentyfourth street with said easterly line of
said Eighth Avenue, thence it a northerly direction, across
said Twenty-fourth stret, to the point or place of beginning;
being, all that portion of said Twenty-fourth street included
btween the easterly line of said Eighth Avenue and the west-
erly line of said Sixth Avenue, including the interection of
said Twenty-fourth street and Seventh Avenue.
Therefore, Be It Resolved by the Thoard of Trustees
of the city of National City, California, as follows:
That it is the intention of said Thoard of Trustees,
and said Board of Trustees hereby declares its intention, to
order the following street work and. improvement to be done

and made, to -wit:
To close up all that portion of Twentyfourth street
in the city of National City, county of San Diego, state of
California, bounded and described as follows, to -wit:
Commencing at the point of, intersection of the east-
erly line of Eighth Avenue with the northerly line of said
Twenty-fourth street, thence in an easterly direction, follow-
ing the northerly line of said. Twenty-fourth street, to the
point of intersection of said northerly line of said Twenty-
fourth with the westerly line of Sixth Avenue, thence southerly,
across said Twenty-fourth street, to the point of intersection
of said westerly line of said Sixth Avenue with the southerly
line of said Twenty-fourth street, thence in a westerly di-
rection, following the southerly line of said Twenty-fourth
street, to the point of intersection of said southerly line
of said Twenty-fourth street with said easterly line s2idt
Eighth Avenue, thence in a northerly direction, across said
Tv'enty-fourth street, to the point or place of bginning: being
all that portion of said Twentyfourth street included between
the easterly line of said Eighth Avenue and the westerly line
of said Sixth Avenue, including the interjection of said
Twenty-fourth street and Seventh Avenue.
That it is not deemed necessary that any land be
taken in c1031ng up said Twenty-fourth street.
That the district of lands to be affected or benefited
by said work and Improvement, and to he assessed to pay the
damages, costs and expenses thereof, is included within the
following exterior hounclariMl3, to -wit:
cornriencing at the rorthwest corner of block 233 in
said city, thence in asouthriy direction, following the west-
erly boundary lines of blocks 233 and 232 in said city, to

the southwest corner of said block 232, thence in an easterly,
direction, following the southerly boundary lines of blocks
232 and 217 in said city, to the southeast corner of said
block 217, thence in a northerly direction, following the
easterly boundary lines of blocks 217 and 216 in said city, to
the rortheast corner of said block 21, thence in a westerly
direction, following the northerly boundary lines of said
blocks 216 and. 233, to the point or place of beginning; the
lands included within said exterior boundaries comprising the
whole of said blocks, 216, 217, 232, 233.
That the National City News, a weekly newspaper
publisbert and circulated in said city of National City, be,
and it is hereby designated as the newspaper in which the
superintendent of streets of said city, hereinafter named,
shall cause to be published, in the manner jid tam mequlm19
law, notice of the passage of this Resolution of Intention.
That 0. E. M. Howard, the superintendent of streets
of said city, be, and he is hereby appointed and directed to
cause notices of the passage of this Resolution of intention
to be hosted in the :Wanner and Form required by law, and to
cause a notice, similar in substance, to be published by four
successive insertions in said newpaper, in the manner and form
required by law.
Passed and adopted -by the Board of Trustees of the
city of National City, California, this 8th day of January,1907.
